  1. I’m a skating coach and use TrainingPeaks to analyze and create training plans. In speed skating, we don’t have power meters to measure training load alongside heart rate data. However, we do have lap times measured with a transponder, and these lap times provide a good indication of training intensity, similar to how a power meter works in cycling.

I was wondering if it’s possible to use lap times as custom zones in TrainingPeaks, so that I can analyze what percentage of a training session was completed in each lap time zone, similar to speed zones in running or power…

  2. Need a workaround that would allow you to automatically convert all of your structured sessions and apply your custom zone mappings at scale.

While you can change the target type (pace, HR, power) for individual steps within a workout this action does not intelligently translate the intensity based on a coach's specific zone settings. For example pace does not equat to power zone etc.

  3. It would be nice to have a more advanced way of tracking gear, not the very simplistic bikes and shoes section
For example, I would like to be able to add different components (chains, cassetes, tyres, forks, shocks, etc) and keep track of their wear
Also, very important (Garmin also doesnt offer this) - the option to see total time for a specific component (very useful for service intervals for forks and shocks, also useful for users who wax their chains - i personally keep track of riding time for a waxed chain, so i know when it is time…

  5. Currently, we can only see lap data in a list/table format. While functional, it makes it harder to see trends, spot pacing inconsistencies, or quickly assess interval workouts at a glance.

I'd love to see a Pace Analysis tool that shows the average pace of each lap in a bar chart format, similar to what Strava provides (see screenshot reference). This would make it much easier to quickly visualize pacing consistency across laps compared to the current table-only view.

    Proposed Solution
Introduce a Pace Analysis chart that:

Displays each lap’s average pace as a bar (pace on the y-axis, laps…

  6. Very frustrating that all my cycling and events sync from TP into my Google Calendar, but for some reason the new Strength workouts do not. Strength is a workout just like any other, really need it to show in my calendar please!

  7. The "New Strength Workouts" in Training Peaks should be exportable to the athlete's device, similar to those structured for endurance sports. In this way the athlete follows the training from his watch which warns him at the beginning and end of each series and recovery time

  8. I would like to have a table listing all my athletes' competitions. I could use it to summarise weekend activities or as a basis for setting new goals for other athletes. This would save us from having to create a new goal each time, give us quick ideas for events, and ensure we don't forget any athletes who have competed.

  9. Sometimes I forget to click complete workout. A notification would be nice if my workout goes over a certain amount of time, my default to a 1.5 hours but can be user changed.

  10. Add the option to enter more than one pre-activity comment

The amount of fuel needed on the ride is becoming more and more important and I love to communicate this via the pre-activity comments.

At the same time, I find it important to include in the pre-activity comments the "why" of a certain workout. It would make everything less cluttered to be able to have more than one pre-activity comment!

Or you know, add editable total grams of CHO (or grams pr hour) to metrics in the workout section as part of the new fueling insights ;-)

  11. Allow for a strength workout to be set as a default and not attached to a particular day, so an athlete can easily find this anytime without the coaching having to attach it to every day. My example is someone who needs a specific warm up program or someone who is injured and should be working on some particular exercises every day.

  12. For tracking blood pressure, Omron seems to be the go-to brand for both healthcare professionals and ordinary people. I feel that tracking blood pressure, should be relevant over time, even for athletes in good health. I also feel that it’s really nice to track all health metrics in one place.
Omron has support for their Connect App for many of their models, it already syncs with Apple or Google Health, so this should be an quick and easy integration for you.

  13. when adjusting notification settings for all my athletes, i should be able to see the athletes by group, such that i can adjust an entire group's notification settings at once. for example, i have a group of athletes that i am "casually coaching", where i don't necessarily need to be notified when they complete a workout or set a new threshold. but another group of athletes, i do need these notifications. and rather than memorize which athlete is what group, i'd like to adjust notification settings on a group basis, rather than an individual basis.
    thanks!

  15. It would be awesome, especially for endurance athletes, to be able to add tempo to strength workouts. Adding a comment is an easy enough work around, but it would still be a cool feature.

  16. It would be great that TrainingPeaks allows to sort out or to download the historical data on the health metrics that are added into the calendar. This can be very usefull for the medical follow up of all athletes

  19. I know a similar one was discarded.
But every time I'm not 100% focused and hit wrongly the paste button it make a mess.
It takes me minutes of clean up work to go back to the initial plan.

Why there's no undo or CTRL+Z option in Trainingpeaks?

  20. I'd like to create custom workouts like TPv default ones, which fluent ramp-up warm up phases. This seems not possible in the current workout builder. To do this with the given ramp-up option I need at least 5 steps, which seems cumbersome for configuration.

Unfortunately, TP workouts are a lot less sophisticated than Zwift but I'd like to give TPv more chances. Having a fluent ramp-up option in the workout builder would be another missing part in the TP ecosystem!
