Advanced Workout Search
Hi, i've been with Training Peaks for around 6 months. My calendar is display quite a lot of completed workouts. There has a been a numerous amount of times when I have needed to search for a workout a) to see how well I did and b) to consider whether to do it again and c) for comparison purposes. Currently I have only been able to scroll the page up/down the calendar to find it (beta version). I am proposing the idea that there is a workout search but is quite advanced so that it can find workouts based on title, type, tss score, duration, elevation gain plus all the other key variables recorded on a workout. I guess athletes do log there planned workouts well in advance aswell and so the search could differentiate between planned and completed.

You can now search for your workouts, past and future, using our mobile apps. Let us know what you think!

Please add possibility to search for tagged workouts using logical-AND, not only logical-OR.

The search functionality on Web and mobile is much appreciated. Two key things, mentioned in the past, that I'd still very much like to see: sorting results at least by date (and preferably customisable), and searching in metrics/notes as well as workouts. Thanks.

In addition to below:
4 - coach could make notes next to each workout on the list view that could be seen without opening the workout ("repeat miles were X:XX, X:XX, X:XX, X:XX"....or 10' intervals were "***, ***, ***, ***)

Thank you, 3 suggestions in regards to search that would increase productivity of all coaches:
1. - include the option to search based on workout tags(predetermined is good, custom is better) in addition to being able to search based on quantitative workout info.
2 - the ability to create custom lists and have them automatically updated as new workouts are uploaded.
3 - when viewing these lists it would be nice to be able to open and close workouts on that list without being redirected elsewhere after you close the workout.

Great news! Thanks to all of you for your help, testing and feedback, we're pleased to announce the release of our Advanced Workout Search today. This full feature release will require that your workouts get reindexed but again, this process should only take a few minutes.
Further, based on your feedback, you may now select which fields you'd like to see on your search columns and you can now sort the search results based on the columns selected. We hope you find this feature valuable.

Thank you all so much for your feedback and continued support! We are planning on doing some site maintenance of our search in preparation for full release later this week. As such, the search icon and search functionality will be temporarily disabled later this evening for a few hours. Thanks for your understanding. And, stay tuned for the enhanced version of search coming out later this week based on your feedback.

Agree with Antonio. First search that I did was to look at all of my triathlons for the season and all of the legs of each triathlon were in random order with other activities. Would also be useful to have a spinning symbol to say when the search was complete as I couldn't tell.

Thanks for your feedback Antonio. The team is looking to release sort functionality within the search tool in the near future. We'll be sure to let you know once it becomes available. Thanks again!

So far it works great. One additional request is to have a choice in how the results are sorted. They seem random.

It would be usefull to have the possibility to log workouts according to type of physiological goal e.g. aerobic capacity, aerobic power, anaerobic capacity, anaerobic power, sprint, racepace and with the possibility to have an overview in the dashboard

C'mon!!! where is the search?? cant even use ctrl-F which is very anoying, having to keep going back to the classic TP.

Can you please implement search in the new TrainingPeaks - it is the very minimum functionality one would expect, and it is a step back from the classic TP to not have it

I am still using classic because of the lack of a search function in the app and it is going very soon. It's not an oversight it's a glaring omission.

Fully Agree! This function is greatly important. A person's memory cannot go back to all workouts that have occurred in the past. This is a huge time saver and enables a coach to use past workouts that were very successful.

AGREE! Please add this function!
