Color coding workouts according to type of workout.
Please include the feature of colour coding your workouts according to type of workout instead of completed work out time - as was possible in the old version of TrainingPeaks. Now, if I shorten one workout and train longer the next day, I get two red workouts. This makes me feel I'm doing something "wrong", while it was a thought out decision. Plus, with colours based on type of workout, I can see in one glance how many times I did strength training last month, for example.

This was released on June 24, 2015. Look in Settings under Layout. There is a checkbox labeled “Color workout tiles based on compliance to planned duration”.

This is claimed as completed, but it is not at all. Colors are not according to type of workout, they are according to compliance to plan - this is not what the users here wanted.
A way to do this cleanly (via Tags with Colours) can be found here: Customized Calendar Colors (using Tags)
This one being closed probably means it is not looked at anymore (although the close is clearly wrong)

I did a very hard workout as prescribed by coach. Took 10 more minutes warm down, just stay on the bike slow spinning enjoy view and forgot to stop my garmin. That got me an yellow.
I have started to ignore the color. I know what I do (power, cadence, HR, intervals and all). I don't need this simple design to grade me.
Other than this. Trainpeaks is still a very good software.

This still isn't complete... it's only half done. Unchecking that box does remove the color based on compliance, but all the workout boxes are still grey. Where is the color based on workout type? Perhaps I'm missing it somewhere, but I still see no way to color code the workouts on the calendar view by workout type. That is specifically what this request was for.

I just wanted to chime in here. Only pegging compliance to time is demotivating when training for TT. Yesterday I got a "red" workout because I bested my TT with a PR! Hardly inspiring. I should be able to set colour coding to distance as well as adjust the +/- parameters (like in the Classic version) so that when I decide to train longer I'm not penalised for it.
Of note this is my first year paying for TP and with these changes I won't be renewing my subscription unless fixed — I don't want have to battle software that lacks user options, plain and simple, especially those that used to be in the Classic version.

I like the idea of colour coding for different types of workouts, however can we also keep the colour coding for workouts done successfully/unsuccessfully but expand the scope so that it is triggered by any of the planned parameters (distance, IF, TSS, etc) rather than just time?

The color coding should be in control of the coach and end user, I mean we are the ones using and paying for the service. Simple!

This is functionality that I have been waiting for since I started using Beta last year. Trainingpeaks has claimed that all of the functionality of the classic version would be brought over to the new version. In the classic version the user has the choice of how to color code their workouts - by compliance or by type. A change is needed. As it stands right now, a useful feature has been dropped. How can more options for your users not be considered a good thing?
