Associate and disassociate completed activities with planned workouts
When an activity is completed and uploaded automatically, Training Peaks does a reasonable but imperfect job of lining these up with planned workouts. This does not always work correctly, especially with races, so it would be handy to have and option to associate activities with planned workouts. Conversely it would be useful to be able to separate planned workouts and completed activities so that they can be associated correctly. I think of this akin to reconciliation of receipts to your bank statement. I was thinking along the lines of select an activity and a planned session and then click a 'Merge' button or something similar.

Pairing and Unpairing workouts is now available in the TrainingPeaks web-app! Thank you everyone for you feedback and patience on this feature.

Would be nice feature to select and right clik to activities to Merge data from Garmin Connect and TrainerRoad.

I do two running workouts most days and my Garmin uploads frequently go into the wrong planned run workout in Training Peaks. My suggestion for resolving this issue is to have an AM and PM slot on each calendar day because most of us that do two similar workouts per day have a morning/afternoon routine. Then we could plan a morning workout and an afternoon/evening workout and the data uploads could match with the appropriate workout just by whether it was before noon or after.
It would also be a benefit in being able to send us our daily workout plan to breakout the plan by AM and PM.

Thanks Ben! I am aware that two files can be auto merged, but the process is painful. I must open the first workout, click files. save the file to a temporary directory, close the first workout, open the second workout, click files, click upload, find the file, click on it, click upload, close the workout, click on the first workout, click delete, navigate to the temporary files in explorer, and delete the temporary file. What I'm proposing is a single click and drag

It's extremely difficult to get heart rate data into TrainingPeaks for swims, although this article describes the ludicrous processes that sort-of work if you have the time and patience:
I would propose that if a user drags a workout over another workout in the calendar, he is prompted to import data elements (HR, TSS, etc) from the dragged workout into the target workout. If the user selects TSS, the swim workout uses hrTSS instead of sTSS.
This would help any time two or more devices are used to record a single workout, but use different data paths to TrainingPeaks (for example, using a Wahoo Blue heart rate strap with a Garmin swim watch)..

It is quite common to upload a wrong file or have a datafile connect up to the wrong workout. I know how to delete the data, but I would like to CLEAR the meta data (i.e. the stuff that got entered into the boxes in the workout) if I do not have another file to upload that would overwrite it. right now I have to manually delete each box. This would just be a nice usability feature (maybe a box you can check when you choose to delete the file that says - delete meta data too?)

When a w/o session that is registered on watch (garmin fr910XT) as "other" is uploaded, and then edited to reflect what was the prescribed w/o (i.e. strenght), TP does not match the activity and creates it as another w/o.
The only way to avoid this would be to push "edit" on the prescribed w/o and "completed as planned". But the actual data of the session performed would not be retreived this way.
Once the type of sport is changed to reflect the same sport of the prescribed w/o TP should match and register it as it does when run, swimm and bike sessions are uploaded and have been previously prescribed by your coach. -

I use different devices/programs (like Garmin Edge, TrainerRoad, PeriPedal...) that are capable of automatic sync with TrainingPeaks, but select them depending on training contents and location. Not all of them link to all data sources. If I set them all to sync and use two or more at once, I end up with two datasets. Since TP seems to have an auto-merge function already, it would be very useful if that could be extended to automatically merge such data sets.

As someone who is still getting to grips with using a TP training programme, and who hasn't always moved planned workouts to the day I actually do them, I've encountered both of these frustrations.
Workouts sync'd from Garmin Connect sometimes get paired with the wrong planned workout simply because the sport and day match, and on the other hand, they often don't get paired because the planned workout is on a different day.
I'm not asking for TP's "Auto Pair" feature to be any different.
I just want also to be able to manually pair planned/completed workouts after the fact in the web app, or mobile app. Requiring us to move/copy the planned workout to the same day first would be fair enough...
On the other side, at the moment, I'm managing to unpick an erroneous "auto pair" by duplicating the merged workout and removing 'Completed' details from one and 'Planned' details from the other (which can't be accomplished entirely within the mobile app because you can't delete planned intervals, etc.). This is a bit tedious, so it'd be nice to have this as a one-click split/disassociate function too.
