  1. New UI is very good, but old UI was good too. If it's possible - make a switch between them!

  2. Feature Request for TrainingPeaks Virtual: When a user selects Focus Mode, the game physics engine should automatically default to a 0% grade (dead flat, windless road) for speed and distance calculations. Currently, Focus Mode hides the 3D world but still applies background map elevation to the physics. This forces ERG-mode riders who want accurate flat-road speed data to manually hunt for flat routes before starting a workout, which is counterintuitive for a minimalist UI mode.

  3. Add the Metrics available in the CORE Sensor app to the daily TrainingPeaks Metrics:

Heat Adaption Score, Heat Training Load, Time in Heat Zones, Heat Strain

This would allow for better coach control over heat training protocols solely within the TP system.

  4. While riding on TPV, I change gears with NO noticeable effect for about 30 seconds. This is not an expected behavior. On other platforms, I get about the same effect as in real life. There’s. a slight bump up in effort which levels off in several seconds. Same with downshifting, as effort decreases and then slightly increases in less than a couple of seconds.

  5. When an athlete completes a ramp test, my understanding is that they can see what their new FTP is and it's updated in TPV, but coaches are not notified of the new FTP, and TrainingPeaks settings are not updated with the new FTP. I would really like these things to happen so I don't have to ask the athlete every time what the result was, and manually update TrainingPeaks settings.

  6. It would be nice to only see recognised trainers, heart rate and power meters. I warm up at the midweek TT on TPV but so do lots of others so I see numerous heart rate and power meters making it difficult to connect the right one.

  7. I am really impressed with the GPX routes and very happy that athletes can use these without them being setup as an event - this is a good step forward. I am a coach who in particular trains novice racers (often Junior and below) and Awash to make it as easy as possible to use GPX routes as practice races (on a virtual version of their own race). So I would like to be able to 'load' GPX circuits into their schedule for them to be able to ride whenit fits their school/work/social calendar. I can see that they can…

  8. I've found that when I forget to force close this app after a ride, my iPad will completely drain of battery in a few hours even while asleep. I could understand if the device was open and the app was running, but it happens when the device is totally at rest.

It's kind of weird to me, because I've seen that if I ever have to minimize the app and use another one (like looking something up in a web browser), TPV will almost always totally close out and end my ride.

  9. This has been proposed as a W' gauge, but since I know TP is thinking of importing the dFRC chart from wko5 to TP online, it would be great if that could also be translated into a metric (imperfect though it may be) to track on TPv. Sauce for Zwift has had one for years as a gauge, so I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to implement in some fashion. One easy improvement on the Sauce model would be to allow the user to set their FRC/W' rather than defaulting to 20 kJ.

  10. Please enable u-turns using the right-hand back button on the Wahoo KICKR bike in all TPV training modes.

At present the button does not cause a u-turn while free-riding.

  11. Today I have done the FTP test, The 20’ all out effort isn’t structured properly. I had issues with the power distribution and cadence. The two were not properly correlated. I’m sure there is something to do to improve. I was using the wahoo kickr core as trainer

  12. The number one cause of sudden death in athletes 35+ yo is cardiovascular. Besides that, AFib is the leading arrhythmia in endurance athletes. Let's improve TrainingPeaks Virtual, TrainingPeaks, and WKO5 by integrating real-time ECG plotting and post-session review capabilities with the Movesense MD sensor. This feature would allow athletes, coaches, and sports medicine physicians to gain a deeper understanding of their cardiovascular system during long exercise sessions.

  13. The effort gauge needs overhauled to make visual efforts consistent among riders in the same group \ pacing level.

TrainingPeaks Virtual pacer bots and effort indicators are designed to work as follows:
*Personalization of Pacebot Effort: Each pacer bot (like Oli Obsidian or Cyril Citrine) is intended to deliver a pacing experience that is tailored to you personally. The system factors in your user profile, especially your current weight and the specifics of the route (such as hills versus flats), to calculate how much power you’ll need to keep up with each bot. Heavier riders, for example, will need more…

  14. When TP is connected to Garmin Connect and doing a ride where the ride is saved via TPV and from a Garmin device, the ride's stats get doubled. This is due to the data being saved from TPV and then pulled down again from Garmin Connect.

TP should be smart enough to pull the most complete (data accurate) version of the same ride. This is what's done with Garmin Connect.

When riding outside, I'll track the ride with a Garmin Edge 1050 and a Fenix 8 pro. When both devices sync, Garmin is smart enough to use the most accurate…

  15. Pacebots are not available in Zen mode. This is due to how zen mode was implemented in that you don't see other riders, but other rides technically still see you (no name).

Pacebots need added in for riders in zen mode who want pushed.

  16. There should be a new bike type that can be selected in TPV for those of us that ride fixie or single speed.

Be nice for a UI option for single speed mode to prevent\ignore shifting. This would help others realize why a rider's cadence maybe very high or low compared to other near by riders or those in a group.

  17. Somewhere in the FIT export from TPV to TP, the @core_temperature data channel is lost. It's visible in TP Analyze 360 data but not in the actual saved FIT file stored on TP, nor is it accessible via WKO5 sync.

The other core temperature channels, HSI and skin_temperature are saved to the FIT file.

Edit: I've also opened a support case for this issue.

  18. I sometimes loose track of the pacer bot when there is a large group of riders around me. I can't see him/her in the nearby riders list and I'm not sure if I've got ahead of him/her or have dropped behind. it would be terrific if the pacer bot was always shown in the nearby riders list regardless of how many rider away he/she is. many thanks. Jon

  19. Now that TPV added some other object types (hot air ballons, TP HQ, etc) one thing that could also be added is spectators cheering on the side of the road. At least on the finish lines/KOMs or near major intersections.

  20. TrainingPeaks Virtual originally emphasized realism.
Recent releases increasingly add gamified objects that reduce realism and distract during structured workouts.

Please add user control over visual intensity. Goal is to improve focus, reduce distractions, and restore realism for users who prefer a clean training environment.

Proposal 1: Switch “Disable post-v0.4.34 visual additions”
    - Removes all decorative/gamified elements introduced after that release.

    Proposal 2: World Realism Slider
10 – Dinosaurs / pterodactyls (trend direction example)
    9 – Glass roads
    8 – Suspended magnetic railway
    7 – Balloons
    6 – Glass-concrete buildings over roads
    5 – Airship
    4 – Animals entering the road…
