  1. I create my own custom .zwo workout files, as I prefer freeride mode over ERG. In order to know the power/cadence/HR target for each freeride interval, and what is coming up in the next interval, I use TextEvents that stay on screen during the entire interval. When importing a zwo. file into TPv these TextEvents disappear from the screen after a few seconds (while in Zwift they stay the predetermined duration).
Is there any command/tag in TPv to keep TextEvents on screen for a specific duration?

An example of a custom interval (in xml format), with a TextEvent lasting on…

  3. When doing Ramp Test today, I reached my fail point and stopped pedalling ca 15 secs after I entered 480W "minute". So my strongest 60 secs should be around 463-466. However it turned out that average of my strongest 60 secs was measured as only 458W. Not a huge difference, but when analyzing data - - Watts during last 15 secs were lower than Watts during second last minute... So basically last 15 secs were "ignored".

  4. Case:

An elimination race setup without bots filling the pen.
Example: A 30-lap elimination race where one rider is eliminated per lap. If only 20 human riders start, after 18 laps, only two remain for the final sprint.

    Result:

After the 19th lap, the winner is determined. However, if this rider stops and exits the race, they receive a disqualification (DQ). Currently, the winner must complete all remaining laps to officially finish and win the race.

    Request:

Once only one rider remains in an elimination race, they should be declared the winner, and the event should end, disregarding the remaining…

  6. When I want to turn off my extra camera angle, I have to restart the application for it to go away.

Would be nice when I changed it to “none” if it would do it without the need for a restart

  8. Summary:
When calculating event ratings for races that include categorized climbs (Cat 4, Cat 3, Cat 2, Cat 1, or HC), the algorithm should place substantially more weight on a rider's climbing rating rather than relying heavily on TT and Endurance ratings. This would create more balanced competition in hilly/mountainous races.

    Problem:
Currently, the event rating system appears to favor Time Trial and Endurance abilities in any longer race, even in races with significant climbing. This leads to several issues: Climbers with lower overall ratings but strong climbing abilities are placed in lower pens than appropriate. Larger/heavier riders with strong…

  9. My training is also my personal free space where I also need to unwind from the problems of the world. Certain countries are responsible for terrible atrocities and conflicts affecting my part of the world. Although the individual athletes most likely have no part in this - the very visible national flags do represent these governments. - I request at feature where I can unselect meeting certain national flags. It will greatly remove stress from my training not to experience the virtual feeling of having these symbols waved in my face. Please understand how mental peace is important for hard…

  10. When I start the application, that I don’t need to confirm the user, devices, options, or routes—just choose whether I want to do a workout (and which one) and start riding. If I want to change something, I can always cancel and go into settings.

  11. These 3 area important markers of how fit you are. On long Z2 intervals first 2 are essential to watch for, while HR drop makes sense when you enter recovery valley after, say, VO2 max interval, can be a pop up showing 1 min HR drop. I do that in ride by just calculating by heart.

  12. The gear display in TPV has never worked for the Stages SB20 trainer on any apple device with apple silicon.

Tested devices: macbook pro M1 Max, iPhone 13 pro and apple tv 4k 2nd gen.

Error message in the log file is always the same, at least for the macbook pro and the iPhone, log files are not accessible for apple tv:

    OS Thread - BLE error Error Domain=CBATTErrorDomain Code=3 "Writing is not permitted." UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Writing is not permitted.}

Stages SB20 gear display works fine on Windows 11 tough.

  13. I am using the VanRysel D500 model smart trainer. While I don’t experience any connection issues with my MacBook and iPhone, it connects to my iPad and Apple TV but stays as “no signal” and doesn’t work. I researched to see if it’s just me, and my friends who use the same trainer also face issues with iPad and Apple TV. However, I can connect and use the same trainer with Zwift on my iPad. Could you please check this issue?

  14. Hey guys, you recently added the option to ride alone, without other users or bots.
Could you add an additional option to ride with other users but without bots?, this way users who complain about too many bots riding can disable them.

  15. Make release notes and changelogs accessable from with TPV. Suggest using the version # block on the login screen. This will make verifying changes and fixes easier and faster during the beta and initial roll-out period.

  16. I like TPV so far and can see enormous potential for bespoke tours populated by bots. If we could invite specific bots to races - and even series - then we could build a full grand tour with 159 bots and one human user. If I have to run an excel spreadsheet to keep track of cumulative GC rankings then ok but obviously if TPV provided a running leaderboard throughout the series then I’d be giddy.

Even better would be to have all those bots - and the human - in teams with a sprinter, a climber, a TT specialist,…

  17. There was previously a feature request for this, but I think it was incorrectly marked as completed.

    https://peaksware.uservoice.com/forums/964442-trainingpeaks-virtual-customer-feedback/suggestions/49244876-custom-workout-accessibility-across-multiple-devic

It would be good to be able to store your custom workout files in the cloud (i.e. as an enhancement to TrainingPeaks) so that they are available across all of your devices. The file sizes are only very small so this should be feasible even for very large libraries.

Whilst you can add a workout to TP to have it available in TPV, if you don't have access to the file in the first place because it's on your home PC and…

  18. I use an ipad and it has happened on many occcasions that the riding menu (to change virtual resistance, skip etc.) won't come up however I touch the screen,

It is so annoying as it essentially means I have to end a workout if I can't get into the right virtual gear.

  20. The experience for me so far has been extremely poor and frustrating because I have gotten a "network error" issue and the ride shuts down mid-way through a workout. That's a super frustrating experience..it has not happened to me on Zwift. I'm not sure if it's a clientside or serverside issue but the app needs to allow a workout to continue even if there is a blip in the network.

I'm trying my third workout tonight but if this happens a third time I'm probably not coming back.

Many thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

This appears to be a bug as the platform should already allow you to continue riding on your own (and therefore able to complete a workout) even if you are disconnected from the server, for whatever reason.

We've turned on some advanced logging for your account so if this happens again we'll get full diagnostics and will be able to understand what is different about your system's configuration compared to others (who don't see this issue) and to debug and fix the issue quickly for you.
