  1. It would be great to be able to arrange pursuit racing on the velodrome for 1v1 racing, starting on opposite sides of the track for the usual kind of distances eg 1km, 3km, 5km etc..

  2. GPXplore My Routes for Workouts

I'd love to see the My Routes functionality expanded to workouts, rather than just events. I love the feature, but I don't want to have to create an event every time I want to use a route—nor do I think event riders want the list cluttered up with people playing around with the feature or doing route recce.

  3. Record HRV/ RR Intervals from a Heart Rate Monitor in the fit files for use by training apps. AI Endurance, Humango, Athletica.ai, spoked.ai, runalyze, golden cheetah all use HRV data. AI Endurance, Runalyze, HRV Logger, Golden Cheeetah, and FatMaxxer do analyze the RR intervals stored in the fit file.

  4. I would love to see the TPV companion app include a separate page for workouts similar to the Zwift companion app that would allow one to quickly change the effort level or skip an interval with a single button tap rather than navigating through the current remote page process. I struggle to navigate the current remote when I am in the middle of an intense workout, as happened the other day when I tried to reduce the effort of an interval but was unable to do that quickly enough before I entered the ERG mode spiral of death....

  5. It seems that I suffer from a lot of dropouts on my ANT+ connection, enough to trigger Performance Verification (PV) removing me from a race. Now, I am absolutely fine with this, but I’m finding it very hard to trace the issue, especially because the only way to know it happening is to set up a race with PV on, and see what happens for every idea I have.

Now, I understand the reasoning that other aspects of PV can’t be fed back on live when just riding around so people don’t learn how to game the PV system, but…

  6. Concept :
The Session Race would be a points-based cycling race designed to encourage rider regrouping and tactical variety. After each key segment or "arch," a pacer bot is deployed—set to a fixed wattage and distance—once the first rider passes. This intentional pacing slows down the lead group and allows trailing riders to catch up, making the race more inclusive and strategic.

    Example on a varied circuit:

    Neutral zone: 1 km

Arch 1 (1.5 km sprint on false flat): Pacer bot at 200W for 3 km

    Arch 2 (800 m uphill): Pacer bot at 150W for 2 km

    Arch 3…

  7. Just started using virtual gearing and love it but would like to see a + / - option on the remote control screen to avoid bringing up the main menu, moving to the + or - and then hitting enter. I found I can also do it on the screen with a mouse click but that also isn't real convient when going hard and trying to move the mouse around. A simple extra + and - on the remote screen would be ideal since it would be 1 click either way during a hard effort.

    Thanks for your consideration

  8. Custom points races would be enhanced by the ability to create custom points banners. Although there are a fair number of banners around the island, there are strategic areas without them. For example, a banner at the base camp top or the left/right wall hug climbs would be great. Given that these are complicated turn junctions, I understand why there aren’t any banners normally. Therefore the ability to place banners would be great.

  9. At the moment I feel like it is TOO easy to move through a crowded peloton and therefore removes a fair bit of the team tactics getting your key rider in the right position within a group.

If you can easily ride through the hoard or riders, then you don’t really need a team as much.

Indoor cycling already removes a lot of the team tactic aspects of cycling (no need to go back to grab waters/etc from the cars), no need to fight people off wheels, and so-on.

I think it would be great to make it near impossible…

  10. The current ranking logic used for pen placement is not working well, as racers with relatively low physical capabilities can end up in pen 1 for most events by virtue of racing frequently.

This may not be a flaw of the ranking logic per se, and more because bots are easy to beat despite their high rank because they are not such clever racers. Regardless, the problem is there.

One way to resolve this, which also protects against a number of other issues inherent in many Elo based ranking systems, is to anchor a rank to a specific physiological metric.

Many thanks for the suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Whilst it's unlikely that we'll do exactly this as there are a number of drawbacks from anchoring, the general point you make about ensuring that the rankings are a useful way of categorising humans against each other (as opposed to it being more of a reflection of humans against bots) is a good one and we'll take a look at how best to do that.

  12. When I start the application, that I don’t need to confirm the user, devices, options, or routes—just choose whether I want to do a workout (and which one) and start riding. If I want to change something, I can always cancel and go into settings.

  13. I use an ipad and it has happened on many occcasions that the riding menu (to change virtual resistance, skip etc.) won't come up however I touch the screen,

It is so annoying as it essentially means I have to end a workout if I can't get into the right virtual gear.

  14. When HRM, PM or Trainer go to sleep and wakeup during training (e.g. Take a brake) often then its dont reconnect again automaticaly.
Defore the change pairing interface thats problem are absent!
The new pairing interface often forgets previously established connections!

  15. When setting Music, UI Volume Environment and Tyre (Tire) volume to 0 (Zero), I still hear wave sounds while the app is running.

It sounds like either the environment audio is still on OR an audio element is not mapped to the Environment Volume correctly.

  16. I have several TP workouts that I use on the velodrome or the road (in real life) that are based on distance and not time. (Or a combination of time and distance ... e.g. 500m sprint with 5 minutes rest between efforts). Given that distance is calculated in TP Virtual (the Virtual Velodrome is good for doing distance efforts if you cant design structured workouts), was hoping that TP Virtual could accommodate those distance and time workouts. Thank you!

  17. Add Rowing to TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Circumnavigate "The Island" or add water ways through the landscape, auto-turn enabled. Wind, current, etc.. factoring into the workout.

A competitor dropped the ball on this. Would like to see someone pick it up and run with it (or "row" with it).

  18. High road / low road toggle issues.

I propose when riding in races and workouts etc that the high road low road option be removed and all users are guided to the same path.
Some people don't have arms reach to their device mid race or are too embroiled in the race to be reaching the keypad and clicking the mouse to take high/low road.
I was caught stranded on low road on a recent race with everyone else going high and lost our massively.

  19. I’m thrilled to see the virtual velodrome feature in TrainingPeaks—it’s an excellent tool for track cyclists. I’d like to propose an enhancement that would make this feature even more impactful for athletes: incorporating the UCI Start Gate Clock audio cues for standing starts.

    This addition would:
    1. Enhance Realism: Familiar auditory cues from UCI races would help athletes simulate race-day conditions, building confidence and muscle memory.
    2. Support Specialized Training: Standing starts are a critical skill for track cyclists, and practicing with the UCI-standard countdown would allow athletes to fine-tune their timing and technique.
    3. Bridge Virtual and Real-World Performance:…

  20. Perhaps I’m missing something. I would like a choice of different sizes for workout graphs when doing planned workouts , and a choice of sizes for terrain/elevation when riding routes.
