  1. I recently started using the avotro controllers in game. They work well, but there are a couple of redundancies and some buttons do nothing. It would be great to be able to customize the button layout for the functions I use the most.

  2. First two rides on TPV resulted in two incomplete rides. I lost connection to the server 20 minutes into the first ride and 31 minutes into the second; neither session could reconnect for me to continue. What I did ride was uploaded to TrainingPeaks as I was able to save the ride and seemed to still be connected when I returned to the hub. Never had this happen on IndieVelo.

  3. At a fork when one is given the option to stay on the current route or take a new route - show the distance to finish for both.
    The new route option is given, but one does not know how far this new route is to the finish.

    As another commenter has noted, TrainingPeaks Virtual is currently not legally able to add support for the Elite Sterzo. When we are able to however, we intend to do so.

  5. Create a Virtual Ride category in TP with the capacity to assign
    - a specific Indoor FTP (indoor FTP being the one taken into account for TPV workouts) different than the outdoor one.
    - specific gear, currently TP assigns the default bicycle to all rides, virtual or IRL

  6. In all team type races when creating an event it should be possible to define a list of "Factors to be multiplied by the points awarded at each location for each rider-position on a team".

    Example #1:
    You want the position of rider 4 on a team to be the one that counts in a team race.
    Points awarded at each location = 250, 240, 230, 220, 210, 200, 190, ... etc.
    Max Team Size = 8
    Counting Riders = 6
    List of weighting factors to be defined = "0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0"

  7. Even though I do a spindown using the Wahoo app I have tried a few times to do a spindown before doing a workout. I have noticed it will only calibrate power when connected using Ant+ and I have received to different error codes 17424 and 15829.

  8. The TACX app posted the remaining time for a segment in a structured workout that is created and linked from TrainingPeaks. However, a few months ago, Garmin decided not to continue using the TACX app, and are now doing structured workouts in their Garmin App. Now, you can only see the completed segment turn gray once completed.

    I've suggested to Garmin to provide that "remaining time" feature in the workout segment. But, they are not interested apparently.

    I do like the way TP Virtual provides an analog change of color and a white line moving across the structured workout segment.…

    ANT+ is currently supported on most Macs, but we are aware of some situations where it is not, and agree with you that this should be fixed.

  11. I like a relatively uncluttered screen, so tend to minimise the number of HUD elements. It’d be nice to be able to set some to free-ride only. The computer and profile are quite useful in free-ride, but largely meaningless during a workout. It’d be great to have a yes / no / free-ride-only setting. The workout elements are already workout only, which works great.

  12. There should be a button to lock draft, so that regardless of how much power you put out, you cannot move past the rider you are drafting (although of course you can drop back if not putting out enough power).

    This would allow for proper lead outs and team time trial formations. Currently these are very difficult, if not impossible, to execute.

  13. TPV sends the data from a programmed workout plus the 0 W time between the end and logout. IOW, a 60 min workout that is logged out 5 minutes after the workout appears as a 65 min workout with 5 min of 0 W at the end. Confuses the weekly totals

  14. I’ve tried playing with all the settings. I’ve tried recalibrating my trainer. I tried using my power pedals instead. Nothing will make the resistance any harder. I’ve done 20 000 km on swift and never had any issues with this.

    I’m trying to do a workout from my coach. 4x5 mins at z3. So should be 4x 5 mins around 250-260 watts. I tried erg mode, non erg mode. Nothing will really let me get above 150 ish watts. The trainer just starts spinning out. Even though it’s telling me to increase power to 260!!

    Anyone else had these problems?…

  15. Thanks for all the hard work you keep putting in and for reading and even responding to all ideas no matter how they sound.
    On that note is Augmented Reality something in the future plans for TPV. This will set us apart from the “rest”
    Imagine an I.T.T. Up that famed French”Alpe”,a Sunday ramble up the Stelvio and the 20+ switchbacks, and the Tri-guys would love to pre-ride Koma . I did Rouvy and I found it very interesting. Not to mention the ability to upload our own favorite rides. Just a thought for the near future.

  16. When racing, the algorithm divides racers over multiple PENs (if there are multiple PENs). Although I understand that this is based on my FTP and weight in order to be competitive, but sometimes i just want to be in the same race as my friends. Yesterday I found myself in PEN3 of 4, with all bots. I was the only human in the race (my PEN) and not in the same race as my friend. This was everything I did not want, I then also decides after 20min to quite. Please adjust this heuristic or way of dividing humans over…

  17. I have been working on it for a couple of weeks, trying different tweaks, but I can't get TP Virtual to save the data from the workout. Sometimes, nothing is saved, but usually it will save the power data but nothing else. I've tried using the ipad app and the Macbook platform. I have turned off other Bluetooth devices (other than the bike which can't be turned off). I have tried re-booting everything because I start a ride (the computer, the trainer). But no joy!

  18. The solution would be to allow the user to define their own map of keys in the game. In particular, the ability to define the Gear change keys. Device for changing gears should preferably be a small key attached to the bike's handlebars instead keyboard. Various types of multimedia buttons are available, but these devices need remap.. An alternative could be to provide an API to develop own extension.

  19. Is there a plan to change the color or add an icon to the scheduled workouts in the "Train" Section?

    I was able to connect to Humango for my workouts and I see both that are scheduled for today - Cadence Spin ups and Short endurance. The cadence is a bike and the short endurance is a run. It would be nice when loading up to see a run or bike icon like they do on Humango (See additional screenshot) so that you know which one to pick for the activity you will be doing.
