  1. From first minute of a structured workout, TPV hits the target power momentarily then drops to about 50-70W and swings wildly up and down. Regret system unworkable.

    This isn't an issue that other users are seeing, and therefore it is most likely to be a configuration or hardware issue, rather than a bug with TrainingPeaks Virtual. Can you please reach out to Customer Support (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) who may be able to help you resolve this, and we'll close tracking this as a separate issue here.

  2. Since last Update (v0.4.9), the TPV and FitFiles Folder have vanished and therefore the fitfiles are gone. Please bring the Fiotfiles back!!! ... I used them to sync with Garmin Connect and its just missing on my iPAD but not on the iPhone!

    Note that nothing has changed between versions about the storage of FIT files, so suspect that there may be some other configuration issue here that has changed on your iPad.

    Rather than track this here as a feature request, please can you reach out to the Customer Support team (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) who can help you with this.

  3. I noticed that I can connect Swift Play as a controller, but they don't show any functions. Is this a future feature as many folks have these and they would be great to be able to use without having to remove hands from the handlebars to use capabilities of TPV.

    Sadly, the Zwift controllers are encrypted which prevents anyone from (legally) reading the data from them without Zwift's permission. We'll update TPV to hide them from the pairing screen to avoid any confusion here.

    TrainingPeaks Virtual however fully supports all other 3rd party controllers - for example XBox, Playstation or Avotro, as well as homebrew controllers (e.g. Arduino based), so there are plenty of much cheaper and more widely available options for controlling TrainingPeaks Virtual than needing to use proprietary hardware locked to another platform.

  4. TPV laptop app does not auto disable my screen sleep function, so when it kicks in the screens goes to sleep and the rider stops riding. If I don't spot it immediately the workout stops and I have to restart from the beginning again. It requires constant vigilance to remember to move the mousepad to keep the screen awake. This is a significant failing compared to other apps like Zwift and TrainerRoad that do not do this. I hope you can fix this soon!

    There is actually already functionality in TrainingPeaks Virtual to do this, and this is the first time a problem has been reported with it - as such, this feels like a configuration issue that perhaps the TrainingPeaks Virtual customer support team are better placed to help you with, than this being an enhancement to the product that should be tracked here. If you reach out to them on virtual@trainingpeaks.com hopefully they can help you resolve this issue on your laptop.

  5. After the latest update, the connection with ANT+ sensors is periodically lost (after January 10, 2025). Tested on different sensors and on different computers. Before the update, this had not been observed for a long time.

    Nothing changed in the latest release with the ANT+ pairing, and so any change here must have been a co-incidence. That said, there are a few known issues with the pairing sometimes not working so we will continue to work on solving those in parallel (but there's no need to track it again here in this separate UserVoice entry, so closing this one as a duplicate of the others).

  6. Hi, when i started the TPV journey weeks ago the world was bright and shiny but since one or two weeks i start TPV and want to connect my Equipment via BT to my iPad but it doesn’t show up on the App even when i search for it. Ok so i have to stop the app and start it again and voila it is there again… but my Core Temperature is missing and i can not even choose.
    This happened already and then i even lost ERG Mode. Another day everything was ok again and it automatically connected to…

  7. I’ve tried playing with all the settings. I’ve tried recalibrating my trainer. I tried using my power pedals instead. Nothing will make the resistance any harder. I’ve done 20 000 km on swift and never had any issues with this.

    I’m trying to do a workout from my coach. 4x5 mins at z3. So should be 4x 5 mins around 250-260 watts. I tried erg mode, non erg mode. Nothing will really let me get above 150 ish watts. The trainer just starts spinning out. Even though it’s telling me to increase power to 260!!

    Anyone else had these problems?…

    This sounds like a configuration issue (potentially with Virtual Gearing) but something that Customer Support can help you with immediately, rather than an enhancement to the product.

  8. In my experience, incredibly frustrating program to use (iOS, iPad). Today it took 47 minutes to load, only then to tell me that it needed an update. Is there a way it can just say that before going thru it's crazy long "Loading virutal hub" sequence?

    While it is currently in Beta then updates are being made to TrainingPeaks Virtual every week - these typically take less than a minute to download on a standard internet connection, but on slow connections, it can take much longer.

  9. Re sync for finished workout.

    Last Sunday I finished my workout and it was not uploaded to Training Peaks. It is showed in the training history but it is not possible to retry sync or download and upload to training peaks.

    There was an isolated issue with synchronisation of FIT files from TPV to TP on Sunday, that was quickly resolved. In general, the files already synchronise for every ride, and we'll continue to look at making that process more resilient in the future rather than tracking this as a separate issue in UserVoice.

  10. It should be possible to easy send a completed activity from tpv into tp after sync issues on apple tv. Now I can see a completed activity but no way to send it to TP. It would be great to have this option for TPV/TP

    This appears to be an issue with your trainer, rather than the TrainingPeaks Virtual software. Please can you contact customer support at virtual@trainingpeaks.com who may be able to help you fix this.

  12. I would like to use it on Apple TV 4K. But it doesn't detect my Elite drivo 1 trainer. Other platforms detect it just fine

    This is almost certainly an issue to do with the fundamental limitations of the Bluetooth hardware in the Apple TV, rather than anything to do with your Drivo per se.

    Please note that whilst this specific suggestion is therefore declined, there is already an open suggestion (which is planned) to improve connectivity more generally to Apple TV through the use of a separate app which will help bypass the hardware limitation.

  13. Hi,
    I use a NordVPN on my Windows 10 laptop.

    If I try to spectate or ride a course and the VPN is active then the course generation hangs.

    If I pause the VPN I can spectate the course as expected. If while on the course I restart the VPN then all the riders disappear.

    NordVPN has the option of split tunnelling i.e. it is possible to exclude specific programs from being filtered by the VPN.

    I have tried excluding TPVirtual-Launcher.exe with no success.

    It is more than possible that it could be a set up issue on my part.

  14. Still not able to log on on my PC...the screen stops at 100% initiated and freezes there.

    Picked a 45 minute endurance ride tonight on my phone. A 45 minute ride took 59 minutes according to my Garmin. The avatar and clock kept stopping for no reason and practically zero kms were recorded despite my riding for almost an hour. None of the clocks/kms/stats were recording properly.
    The graphics are terrible. Disappointing start to my riding with this.

    Thank you for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

    The issue with the PC install has already been fixed - if you re-download the installer from https://trainingpeaks.com/virtual then everything should work for you as expected.

    The issue with your mobile device is most likely to it being unsupported hardware - from your user logs it appears to have only 2GB RAM, which is well below the recommended 3.5GB or more.

    As as already been mentioned in the comments, whilst this sounds like a great idea in principle, in practice it would just cause the velodrome to become completely full of bots. Instead, you can just create your own custom pacebot by creating an event with a neutralized zone and set the speed to be whatever you want for however long you want.

Regularly throughout my ride I have periods lasting from 2 to 15 seconds where the avatar stops pedaling and loses speed (sometimes stopping entirely), even while my power and cadence readings from my trainer are continuing as normal in the TPV UI. This is especially noticeable on climbs, and this is often followed by the avatar jumping forward and backward on the road. If this happens at higher speed, such as in a pace group, my avatar falls off the back of the group like it stopped pedaling. This makes it very difficult to train in a group or do…

    The symptoms you describe are what happens when there is an unstable internet connection and your computer is not receiving accurate information about the positions of all the riders from the server (essentially it means your computer has to guess the positions as there is no way it could possibly know where they should accurately be without external information about them, and then when it intermittently receives updates from the server, then they "jump" to the correct positions).

    The fix therefore is to ensure that your internet connection is stable. If you need any help with this, please feel free to reach out to Customer Support at virtual@trainingpeaks.com

  17. iPad TPV 3.9 will not connect to any servers. I get a message saying could not connect to any servers could be because you aren't on the latest version. I am on the latest version. It is 3.9 that was released yesterday. Come on folks...

    The latest version is v0.4.19 so it looks like you're still using a (very) old version of indieVelo, and not TrainingPeaks Virtual. If you uninstall indieVelo and install the latest version of TrainingPeaks Virtual, then everything should work as expected.

  18. Conectei o rolo de treino TacX e monitor cardíaco da Polar. Ambos reconhecidos e devidamente conectados. Quando iniciei a corrida, apenas o monitor cardíaco foi reconhecido. Então, não rolou treino. Tive que voltar para o Zwift.

  19. The Display Name on TrainingPeaks Virtual when riding is never my name which should be synced across from my TP Premium account - it seems to be randomised as it's different each time I log in. Is this a known bug? It's occurred since the last couple of releases.

  20. Grade calculation/adjustment: 150 FTP and 130kg means riding at 1.0mph uphill. I'm riding for charity attempting to accumulate miles indoors and out. Hard to ride indoors when elevation causes me to ride 1.0 mph. Don't have 300 hours to ride in a month.

    For better, or for worse, TrainingPeaks Virtual uses an accurate physics model for the movement of bicycles in the application. This means that your speed indoors will match your speed outdoors, and on steep inclines that means going slowly.

    If you want to accumulate virtual miles, then we strongly recommend riding on the flatter areas of the island. For example, the "Forest Velodrome" route is perfectly flat with no hills at all, and the "Coastal Loop" route is mostly flat. You can also sort all the routes in-app using the filters at the top of the "Ride" tab of the main menu, to show them in order of their average gradient so you can easily see which routes to pick!
