WORLD: Routes - Climbing, V-Everesting Route
Zwift has AdZ and Ventoux. MyWhoosh has an Everesting route, although not ideal due to extra distance covered for turn arounds.
It would be nice to have a dedicated climbing route that is say 1106-1110 meters and thus requires about 8 repeats to complete an VEveresting. Ideally something with (short) turn arounds at the top and bottom and few if any intersections where someone might accidently turn off.
Lastly - limit gradient to 8-12%. That way you can complete the everesting without having to constantly be changing gears. Lower gradient at switchbacks is fine to provide rests. And no negative…22 votes -
UI/UX: Please make the gradient indicator more precise.
Instead of 1% changes of the onscreen gradient indicator, I feel it would be better if it were at the very least 0.5% changes.
Riding on the coastal loop, it seems like there are a lot more minor grade changes than is apparent watching the number shown onscreen. Riding a 0% grade feels like it is actually fluctuating between +0.8% to -0.8%. Giving a better indication of the gradient would help my brain interpret the "false flats" that are hidden in the 0% gradients.

WORKOUTS: Expanding the workouts library
Please can you add more workouts and ones with more variety to the library. There are too few workouts in the App when compared to other platforms. Please can you add more or let coaches submit their ideas
Thanks.21 votes -
WORLD: Terrain - Velodrome Markings - Distance Lines
It would be great to have distance lines on the velodrome. Especially a 200 meter line.

UI/UX: Picture in Picture mode on Apple tv
Support for Picture in Picture mode on ATV would allow us to watch e.g. Netflix while riding in TPV. The idea is to have Netflix occupy the full screen and have TPV on a smaller overlay in the corner

UI/UX: 'Start now' button for private event creation
When creating a custom event for yourself (e.g. a quick race, workout sim, etc) it should be possible to launch it immediately from the configuration page, rather than scheduling it for 10 minutes time and then waiting for it start.

TP SYNC: Utilise real life data in TP to improve TP Virtual Power performance knowledge.
Many people have poor virtual power data particularly after the summer of riding outside. Using the real life data for the critical power and performance verification in TP Virtual would give better information. Whilst there is often some difference in the power from outside to virtual data this would be discernible within the data that TP holds.

EVENTS: Ability to set weather conditions for events run at different time slot eg a TTT event
When setting up a TTT event we should have the ability to set weather conditions
Eg fix the weather setting so all TTT events have the same setting when ridden at different times
As an example wind speed starting from the North 7mph , pivoting at a pre set motion , so 5 min into the event it may be coming from the North East.
Also have the ability to set the wind speed with a variable speed.
Challenge is to ensure these settings can be replicated so all events have the same variables
This will improve the limited TTT…18 votes -
FITFILES: Save workout at end, not at logout
TPV sends the data from a programmed workout plus the 0 W time between the end and logout. IOW, a 60 min workout that is logged out 5 minutes after the workout appears as a 65 min workout with 5 min of 0 W at the end. Confuses the weekly totals

PAIRING: Improve sensor connectivity
The one issue that's repeated several times for me, is a loss of heartrate monitor connection during a ride. Prior to today, the only time I had a problem is when I'd take a brief break during a ride (bathroom, fill water bottle, etc.), then when I returned to the bike, the heartrate monitor would no longer be transmitting heartrate data, even though it still showed connected on TPV. Today the issue occurred again while I was still riding (about 50m into a 60m ride). I never left the bike, and never stopped pedaling ... around the 50-minute mark, the…

WORLD: Avatars - User height information used for rendering taller or smaller rider
Could you implement different sized riders by using the user height data? This could potentially also require size selection for the bikes as well. I mean why should 160cm user look same sized as 210cm user in TPV?
I assume the user height and weight data is already used in calculating the resistance when riding uphill (how about downhill?) but do you also consider the height for the increased body surface area to have an increased wind resistance? Or when pacing a taller rider one could have more/better draft?
18 votesMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
To confirm, the TrainingPeaks Virtual physics engine already takes into account the height and weight of riders, so - to use your example - you will already experience a higher drafting effect when sitting behind a larger rider.
All that is currently missing is the graphical representation of that.

EVENTS: Post event experience
At the end of an event, participants should enter a coffee shop / clubhouse etc where the results are displayed, there is a podium, you can view the results, and importantly can discuss the race with others that took part - give chapeaus, etc. Avatars could be on turbo trainers so that you can also cool down.
It's a bit of a damp squib when an event finishes and everyone just rides off.

MECHANICS: Increase Climbing Rating Importance for Races with Significant Climbs
Summary:
When calculating event ratings for races that include categorized climbs (Cat 4, Cat 3, Cat 2, Cat 1, or HC), the algorithm should place substantially more weight on a rider's climbing rating rather than relying heavily on TT and Endurance ratings. This would create more balanced competition in hilly/mountainous races.Problem:
Currently, the event rating system appears to favor Time Trial and Endurance abilities in any longer race, even in races with significant climbing. This leads to several issues: Climbers with lower overall ratings but strong climbing abilities are placed in lower pens than appropriate. Larger/heavier riders with strong…17 votes -
EVENTS: Event series with consistent bots in each race
I like TPV so far and can see enormous potential for bespoke tours populated by bots. If we could invite specific bots to races - and even series - then we could build a full grand tour with 159 bots and one human user. If I have to run an excel spreadsheet to keep track of cumulative GC rankings then ok but obviously if TPV provided a running leaderboard throughout the series then I’d be giddy.
Even better would be to have all those bots - and the human - in teams with a sprinter, a climber, a TT specialist,…

UI/UX: Get asked if you want to finish the ride after workout completed
Scenario would apply to a planned workout ride:
Would it please be possible to get asked (via a PopUp) if one wants to finish the workout once its completed or to continue the ride. This would make it a lot easier and intuitive to end the workout once its completed without having to find the "end ride" button within the "menu" navigation.
Thanks!

EVENTS: Show position of rider groups on the route profile, as well as your own position
On the route profile at the bottom of the screen you can see your position. It would be good to see the position of other groups within an event, or possibly just first and last place. I can imagine these would be smaller markers, maybe thinner and a different colour so as not to confuse, but still to be visible.

WORKOUTS: Cadence (Audio and Video) Target setting
See attached image
Enhancement Request:
Cadence Target Audio (On/Off) - Audible alerts only
Cadence Target Video (On/Off) - Visual Alerts only
Today we only have cadence targets audio and visual
Would be cool if we could do the same with power....

WORKOUTS: Add workout rpm target to interval list
Would be really helpful to see during a workout what the rpm target is for a given interval if one has been set. Would appear to be plenty of room. E.g. 200W(90 rpm). This way you can see what is coming up in addition to just the watts and be prepared for it.
