  1. I started a strength workout on a Tuesday, wasn't able to finish, then on Wednesday finished the remaining items and it says I did 22 hours of strength training and my dashboard is all out of whack. I cannot seem to modify the total time via the web or the app.

  2. TrainingPeaks tracks everything that builds fitness, but nothing that breaks it. I'd like to see injury tracking added as a first-class data type, not a metric comment buried in the calendar.

    Four parts:

    1. A dedicated injury entry type. Log an injury via a visual body map plus a structured body-part list (so it's selectable data, not free text). Each entry holds detailed descriptors, rehab methods, and attachments from a physio or medical professional, all in one place on the calendar.

    2. A daily pain score out of 10. The entry repeats daily, so the athlete logs where the injury is at…

  5. It would be very useful to have an estimated duration for strength training workouts and an estimated distance for running workouts (walking/running), so that athletes and coaches can better plan and understand sessions more easily.

  6. Currently in the Structured Workout Builder, Planned Work (kJ) is only calculated when the sport type is set to "Bike". Switching the exact same workout to "Mtn Bike" causes the kJ field to go blank — even when FTP is configured for Mtn Bike Power and the workout is built in % FTP with Target intensity. Planned TSS and IF still calculate correctly in both cases; only kJ is affected.

This was confirmed with TP Support (Anthony H.) and is not currently documented as a known limitation.

Why this matters: for athletes who genuinely train and race on MTB —…

  9. There is missing a function to get the data for a workout where you can see what planned speed/watts was and your actual metric was on top. I'm missing the ability to see if I managed to hit the mark or not

  10. Make a “layer” between the athlete and coach. Right now, Strava gives you a 2 sentence Ai analysis of your uploaded ride within 30 seconds of uploading. No coach can ever compete with that.

What if you did something similar, but gave the coach the “approval” power?

    Athlete uploads file.

    Ai does analysis

Ai texts the coach- “Hey- your athlete uploaded a file. Here’s our analysis. Would you like to Approve? Reply with Y or N for No. Would you like to Add to this analysis? Reply with A.

Coach replies with “A”. Coach types in, “Nice to see this…

  11. Integrate Ai tools into TP. Your competitors are doing it! And we as coaches need it desperately. We are all using it. I know a few coaches are already using AI to help with coaching tasks.

Some are copying athlete notes, workout history, training data, race goals, messages, and other bits of context into ChatGPT or Claude to create reports, spot patterns, summarize progress, write feedback, or just get help thinking through training decisions.

    Which makes total sense.

The goal should be that coaches will be able to use tools like ChatGPT or Claude to work with your TrainingPeaks data…

  13. For indoor and outdoor rowing, many coaches prescribe stroke rate targets. Please consider adding Rate as a Unit for structured workouts and workout compliance.

Rowing Power on the water is restricted to a few devices that won't accept structured workouts. Pace fluctuates with water conditions, heart rate and cadence. Indoor rowing power is more meaningful, but still a rate prescription is often a way of indicating intensity as well.

Very specifically, this is how I would like to use this:
I row with an EmPower Oarlock, and an NK SpeedCoach GPS 2 - this is the most accessible on the…

  14. Offer a more sophisticated workout compliance analysis.
This would specifically be for structured workouts.
For example, if the plan/coach has set a cycling workout with a mix of warm-up, easier zone durations and some higher intensity sets (eg. 6 x 3min at 110% of FTP / with 1 min rest) ... then could compliance be reported on following the structure of the workout.
Eg. I could complete the workout at the allotted duration, or TSS for that matter, but have done so without adherence to the structure. Ideally this could be reported on a per workout basis or across a…

  15. In the weekly recap, on the right side of the calendar, include a small and intuitive graph or table that shows the breakdown of the scheduled training into LIT / MIT / HIT.
It should be simple and easy to read, but highly useful for tracking training distribution.

  16. When you open the training analysis view, you can see all the available data. Currently, you can hide or show individual metrics using the button, but you cannot set which data are displayed by default.

This is a limitation because each coach may prefer to use specific data as their default view, and only add other lines if needed later.

Adding a feature to set default displayed data would allow coaches to have a consistent view for all their athletes and save a lot of time, avoiding the need to manually hide or show metrics every session.

  18. I use two different applications to record rides when riding on an electric bicycle. One captures information in a .fit file but lacks power data. Another application captures power data in a .gpx file. At the present time I can only export in the same format as imported and the .gpx file lacks power data.

  20. There should be an option to set the Athletes status to "sick" or "injured" in addition to the availability selection.
This would make the situation more transparent for the Coach and allow them to better adjust the trainings status and plan accordingly.
