How can we improve TrainingPeaks?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  1. Mobile Multiple Fitness ramp rate charts

    It appears you can only add one fitness ramp rate chart to your list of charts in the Mobile app. It would be nice to have multiples, to be able to isolate training improvements per fitness type, and in total.

    • Mobile Weekly Snapshot - Completed vs. Planned

      Would be great if the "planned" gets populated based on the ATP set up for the year to compare with the "completed." This will avoid having to log in to the desktop computer to keep track of weekly goal/schedule.

      • Add support for ATP view adn planning in mobile App

        Add access to my ATP in the mobile app (similar to web version). I mainly want to use it for following overall and weekly training hours and periodization found in ATP compared to my weekly planned and performed workouts.

        • The ability to access desktop site (i.e. have the option to opt out of being directed to the app) on mobile devices

          I would like to be able to use the desktop site on my iPad. I use my iPad as my computer, and would like to access the full functionality through my browser, and have the option to NOT be auto-directed to the app.

          • I would like to see the drag/drop option available to mobile users, especially iPad. I don't own or plan to own a PC or Mac.

            My coach enters my workouts on my calendar, but I often complete them on days other than those originally listed. It would be great to be able to drag/drop workouts to the correct days wnen I complete them.

              Ability to create a lap or segment on the mobile app, like you can on the desktop.

              • Adding performance peaks power for running.

                With Trainingpeaks being supportive of running power it would only seem natural that performance peak would also show running power and not limit to pace and heartrate.

                • I would love to be able to fix spikes and edit workouts and add in laps on the ipad app

                  I can highlight sections on the ipad app, but then really can’t do any editing.

                  • Change the way of adding comments to workouts back to previous method.

                    Change back to previous versions so that you add post-workout comments by editing the workout. The disadvantage of the quick-add for comments is that if you want to edit the workout (eg, to change bike, shoes etc) then you have to edit, then add comment, so one process has become two.

                        Love the app, but the icon is the poorest of any of those I have in my Dock. Letters (“TP”) are a bit of a cop-out! (And I don’t know how internationalization works.) Surely a more visual icon could be put together pretty easily, perhaps showing some ATL/CTL/TSB lines.

                        • Additional Data from Apple Health

                          Would be great to get additional data from Apple health into TrainingPeaks.

                          Data fields such as: weight, BMI, blood pressure, heart rate, sleep analysis, etc should be straightforward for TrainingPeaks to read.

                          • Define or change Map/Graph selections in iOS app

                            When I access the App via a web browser I can add, define and change selections in the Map/Graph view - this is great for highlighting key areas of a race or areas of concern to my coach, or trimming an ITT to just the race data for more accurate data of just the race effort.

                            I can define a selection using the mobile app but I can't seem to save it (either You can't or I'm missing the obvious)

                            • iPhone/iPad - Peak Power graph comparison option

                              On IOS it would be great to have a peak power graph which compares the peak power of a ride to the athletes overall peak power of a given date range. As in the web version.

                                  When scheduling my workouts in the mobile app I like to check predicted form for upcoming events.

                                  I can use the graphs view, it would be better to highlight/snap to upcoming events

                                  Additionally it would good to have a "home view" like the webapp to highlight focussed events.

                                  • Show Workout Details (Editor notes) 10 seconds before Interval starts

                                    REQUEST:
                                    Add a 10 second 'instructions lead in' check mark box in the workout details editor.
                                    FUNCTION: when 'checked' it subtracts 10 seconds from the course text cue to display sooner so the athlete knows whats expected.

                                    REASON: Currently instructions show at the interval start. Its the same as pushing someone off a cliff and yelling how to open the parachute. Not enough time to prepare!

                                    • Download wellness data from Apple HealthKit without FitnessSyncer

                                      In a perfect scenario my "wellness" data such as steps, sleep, weight etc. and planned workouts, recorded in Garmin Connect would seamlessly be synced and added to my TrainingPeaks account. The workaround I am using now is FitnessSyncer, but this service is limited at best... But what if you connect more widely with Apple HealthKit through your iOS app?

                                        There are multiple options for syncing Apple Health data to TrainingPeaks. This blog article lists some of the more popular apps.

                                      • Fingerprint Login Option iOS App

                                        Please allow for fingerprint login as an option vice username and password similar to many other apps. Something has changed recently in either iOS or the TP app that causes more frequent logins, fingerprint would make logging in much quicker.
