  1. good morning , I have a suggestion : as my coach sends me,my training program , in an Excel file , to be possible to upload to training Peaks that file .
the Excel file to be uploaded must have 11 columns :
    1 date
    2 the title of exercise
    3 the duration (minutes)
    4 distance
    5 average speed
    5 calories
    6 elevation gain
    7 TSS
    8 IF
    9 work
and one more column for description
if the columns are empty to be considered as zero values

  2. Often the autoscale on the charts is not very useful. For example if I have a workout with a sprint (or an erroneous high point) the scale makes it very hard to read because the rest of the workout is then compressed vertically. It would be nice to be able to adjust the vertical scale/zoom so that it is scaled appropriately of what is on the screen. You could zoom manually (the way the horizontal zoom works) or just edit the axes values.
Another related feature would be the ability to drop a "horizontal" line at a certain value (e.g.…

  3. I would like to see a count of power surges or sudden jumps in power, like a jump from z2 to z5 or similar. As I start to gather more data from CX rides my average and normalized powers are pretty low compared to road rides but I feel like I work a lot harder, most likely from the increased number of accelerations.

I could see it being useful in the summary or it's own tab in a workout summary. It would help characterize a racing condition so that we can better train for a style of racing. We would…

I’m declining this for TP.com, but WKO4 will have something that does this.

  4. Now that you have the feature to build a workout in TrainingPeaks you should be able to use that workout to drive an ergo.

Files exported from our workout builder are compatible with most indoor training apps, so at this time we do not plan to develop our own. We are working with a few partners to streamline the export/import process.

.ERG and .MRC files can be imported in to any of these platforms:
    TrainerRoad
    PerfPro
    Virtual Training

.ZWO files can be imported in to:
    Zwift

These are a few budget friendly options for iOS and Android. .ERG and .MRC file exported from our mobile apps can be directly opened with either of these apps:
    Hurts Ergo – iOS
    http://www.hurtsdevelopment.com/

    Indoor Cycling Workout – Android
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.pierrox.indoorcyclingworkout&hl=en

This is another option good for Windows and OSX.

  5. The scatter plot feature COULD be a lot more useful than it is, if you could compare trailing averages of metrics rather than the instantaneous values.

For example, let's say I want to chart power and/or cadence vs. heart rate. Unfortunately, power can fluctuate rapidly during a ride, and heart rate does not respond instantaneously to changes in power - it ramps up or down over time.

The idea would be to compare "trailing averages" for scatter plot data. i.e. plot 60 second trailing average power vs. heart rate. The length of the trailing average should be configurable on a…

  7. When you hover a workout in the calendar view it would be nice to see customizable workout details pop up. Personally I'd like: Avg/Max (pace/speed, power, and heart rate info). Workout description and comments. As many split times from the device upload displayed as possible.

It would also be very helpful to put a box with two or three chosen training zones visible on the calendar view so the coach can reference that box when hovering over workouts. A possible place for this would be at the top of the calendar between the dashboard option and the coaches logo.

    A…

We already have a Quick View, so I guess we would call this the Wiki View! The workout split data is not available, but some of the other info would be. This would probably be a ways off if we were to do it.

There is a version of our Android mobile app available in Amazon’s App store. We have not tested this, but supposedly you can install Amazon’s App Store app on a Blackberry 10 and then install apps that way. This may be an option for you.

  9. When using external GPS pod for recording the location data you end up with extra data before and after the actual exercise you wanted to capture. Many services (e.g. Suunto MovesCount) automatically hide this extra data when viewing the combined data on their site, but when exporting the data as XLSX and GPX they export the whole data. When you then import these files to TrainingPeaks you end up with an exercise that needs manual cropping to get rid of the head and tail GPS data. This gets tedious very quickly when moving large amounts of data from old service…

We’d prefer to simply pull data direct from Suunto via using a cloud to cloud sync process.

  10. Please can you add the specific HR zones and power zones per lap.

For example. It would be nice to see if during a 5 min interval what zones the interval was completed in..

    Many Thanks

  12. I would find the existing Menstrual Cycle data fields in the Metrics section much more useful if they could be overlaid with training data - volume is the one that springs to mind by TSS could be useful too. First I'd like a back-end query to calculate cycle duration from the intervals between day 1 of each cycle, so I could see cycle length plotted on a secondary y axis like so (see attached).

  14. I heard in Q1 of 2018 it would just take a pilot group of QA to validate it works on the Garmin Vivoactive 3. So it sounded like it was close to being supported. Let's do it!

Unfortunately the Vivoactive 3 does not support the features of the Connect IQ platform that our app requires. The Vivoactive 3 does not allow for downloading .FIT Workout files through a Connect IQ app, so our CIQ app is not supported.

  15. Automatic sync from MapMyRun to Training Peaks. I like the features in TP but don't want to manually enter in yet another system.

We would be happy to provide the team at MapMyFitness access to our API for uploading data. It usually works out better if the request comes from one of their users.
    https://support.mapmyfitness.com/hc

Until then, there are a few options to keep from having to manually enter your workout data in to TrainingPeaks.

The Wahoo Fitness app will sync data to both TrainingPeaks and MapMyFitness.
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wahoo-fitness/id391599899?mt=8
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wahoofitness.fitness&hl=en

If you are an iPhone user, the MapMyFitness app can write data to Apple’s Health app. Once your workout data is in the Health app there are a few different apps that can then sync the data to TrainingPeaks

  16. There are a bunch of data analysis tools (PowerBI from Microsoft for one) that will injest xml data streams and allow some pretty amazing reporting. It would be great to be able to point other reporting tools at our data to allow for custom graphing.

  17. Can you introduce the RPE x Duration (min) - Foster method - in the statistics to be able to see the load of each session, week, month? This will be a great information to adapt the training.

  18. Bring back the "holding bin" for inactive athletes. This will allow us to remain connected but to just have active athletes on our 'people' list.

This is one of the reasons we created our unlimited coaching option (we call it UBC – unlimited basic clients) so you could have as many people you want for no incremental fees. Note that the UBC feature is a flat $49/month.

  19. It'd be great to allow athletes to compete against each other. The dimensions should be time, power, distance, etc.

Also it should be possible to aggregate caloric expenditure per KG of weight per various periods.

That functionality will remain within WKO+ as a deeper, more advanced option.
