Export 0watt blocks as FreeRide segments to Zwift
Using free-ride segments in Zwift is often used for short max efforts. Now its not possible to export certain blocks as a free-ride segment i.s.o. a steady-state segment. This means you still need to edit the workout in Zwift.
A solution would be that a block set to 0 watt would be exported to a free-ride segment for a Zwift workout.
RPE based workouts can now be exported to Zwift. These workouts use Free Ride blocks along with text messages to communicate the target RPE. During a free ride block the trainer will be in ERG mode and respond to changes in the simulator. This is a good option for building FTP test workouts since the trainer will not be locked in to a specific power target.

I was also redirected by Support to this forum. I would also greatly appreciate enhance Workout editor features to better support winter Training in Zwift.
* add a Free-Ride block to FTP base Workouts
* add text to Workouts that can apear in ZWift -

I wrote for a feature to have "Free Ride" segments in a TP designed workout for use in Zwift and was pointed to this forum. For test efforts, recovery after hard efforts, etc. having a piece of a TP workout translate into a free ride segment in Zwift would be great.

+1 for being able to create a block in TP workout builder that results in a Zwift free ride block. This would enable an ERG controlled warm up phase with free ride block to do pMax & FRC/pMax efforts in before reverting back to ERG for subsequent blocks.

sorry, but RPE based workouts are just a bunch of timers between free ride blocks in Zwift.
The interesting thing would be having ERG enabled for the non max effort parts and free ride blocks for the max effort parts.
This feature is a low hanging fruit! please pick it!

Hi TP, any news on this request on "free ride blocks"? This suggestion was posted 3 years ago. And considered by TP. Would reaaaaally being great value and reduce user effort.

This would be huge for testing. Would love to see this feature implemented. I would love to be able to just drag down a "free ride" block like I can a warmup, active, interval, etc..

Something "considered" a year ago, and still not happened...
Doesn't not bode well for "Future" tagged features... -

There are a variety of intervals where you effectively want a free ride segment e.g. max power, some single leg drills etc. Would be great to make this happen.

Need to be able to do this for Power Testing (read FTP Tests).
Right now for an FTP Test if you specify 100% it is going to load the smart trainer (erg mode)
In fhat case the .zwo file will appear as follows for a 20 minute test + 5 seconds
<SteadyState Duration="1205" PowerLow="1" PowerHigh="1">
</SteadyState>
This is what it needs to look like for a proper FTP Test in Zwift:
<FreeRide Duration="1205" FlatRoad="1">
</FreeRide>
Erg is still engaged, but at flat road resistance rather than 100% of FTP.
