I've noticed that if I record some types of activities on my watch (Garmin Epix 2 Pro), the subtype is not updated from the FIT file. I've tried with Run, Trail Run and E-bike activity types. But I did a pool swim yesterday and the subtype was assigned correctly.
If I use the bike computer (Garmin Edge 840) it does update the subtype (tried with Road and Gravel rides).

Hi Tony, as per Alexandre's comment below, I don't see this happen automatically either, I can select the subtype but it doesn't pull from the recorded activity.

I’m a TP subscriber but my activities subtype don’t get auto assigned. I still need to edit the activity and manually change the subtype. From your description this should happen automatically.

Ability to have 'Indoor Rowing' as a modality when creating a workout session. Currently it just has 'Rowing' which implies on-the-water rowing

Adding Indoor and Gravel bike would be very useful. For me also adding ice (speed) skating to it, at least to be able to define it for the athlete with the specific thresholds would be very useful because in winter that's a major part of the training hours

For me as a coach. I need indoor, gravel, track. It would be great if we can create new sports option what we like.

I agree, specifically I would be looking for a "Rucking" sport option. It could parallel the current running or walking sport with the addition of 'weight carried'.

As a multi sport athlete I also train across different disciplines such as Yoga, Breathwork, Hike, Trail Run ect. If you had a direct mapping with Garmin or Strava that woudl be useful. As well as allowing the new strength builder to be uploaded to Garmin / Starva

I second this! I'm a multi-sport athlete that cross trains for Rock Climbing, Mountaineering, Cyclocross, and Running. For the last 4 years, all of my rock climbing activities have been categorized as 'Other'. Looking back now, there is no way to segregate this data from other 'Other' activities. Strava already supports this activity type, and has for a couple of years.

Add more sports option

Please add more activities or the ability to rename/save custom activities. It's crazy that no activity types have been added to the database in the 10+ years I've been using the platform. Meanwhile, Strava and Garmin offer more types than you'll ever need. At a minimum, the activity types should at least match the minimum list of activities offered by Garmin, Suunto, etc.

This year there will be around 560.000 competitors worldwide in Hyrox, that's more than triathlon!

It would be good to have "indoor" abilities with all sports as sometimes you need to go in.

I would like to see a 'Track' or 'Velodrome' training option added as a Workout Type so 'Bike' trainings on the Road and Track can be easily examined and summarised separately. Using 'Other' is not really appropriate and doesn't work well.
