    Hi all,

Sport Subtypes will now be auto assigned upon a completed file upload for Premium Athletes (Basic Athletes can still manually choose a subtype).

Nothing you need to do here, the categorization will happen upon uploads.

Hi Tony, as per Alexandre's comment below, I don't see this happen automatically either, I can select the subtype but it doesn't pull from the recorded activity.

It would be really useful if we had the ability to change this in the app, especially mid workout. I've had to go back and edit workouts in the desktop app to change this and it's not a fluid process.

It feels like this has been kicking around for a while, and it's clear that the user base is excited to see it's implementation, do we have any timescale on it being release, even if in Beta I'd absolutely love to offer support in testing it, and actively using it :)

I would absolutely love to see this prioritised, and also have the ability for TPV to control the incline via FTMS, this will give you a huge advantage over Zwift as they are ignoring the users feedback on this subject.

This really does feel like a missing part of scheduling, does a comment cause any bump to Training Peaks Support, it doesn't look like it's been seen...?

I can't see any indication that this thread has been viewed by TP, just dropping a little nudge to see if this can be considered for future development, it can almost render the calendar sync useless if things have to be changed around at short notice.

Many thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

To confirm, the TrainingPeaks Virtual physics engine already takes into account the height and weight of riders, so - to use your example - you will already experience a higher drafting effect when sitting behind a larger rider.

All that is currently missing is the graphical representation of that.

In general, some degree of gamification can be good, but we need to be careful not to go too far - for example, we would not want to do anything that encouraged an athlete to train when it would be better for them to be resting etc.

It's therefore an area we will certainly be looking at, but at this stage it's unclear what changes we may or may not make.

I agree with the admin response here, please don't over gamify this, I want to move from Zwift because it has started to feel like riding through a nursery school. Keep it real, but maybe some graphical upgrades... achievements and segments all good, something to throw challenges in there, but I really don't want to see dinosaur's, squirrels or Santa flying through the sky, it's a waste of your dev time which could be used on far more important things that have been requested in the forums...

Hey TP, just checking in on this, I don't believe it would be that difficult to update a database field to hold a decimal value as opposed to a whole number?

I'm absolutely certain that this will affect most if not all users...

I noticed this, setup fory ride, Spotify playing in my earbuds, started my ride and it went quiet. I thought I'd done something wrong till I realised TPV took over the sound and I could hear the ride sounds.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Improving the UI is firmly on our to-do list, and using tool-tips is a great suggestion. In the mean-time, the 2 values shown for cadence and heartrate are the average and maximum, and the 3 values shown for power are the average, normalized and maximum values.

Yes, absolutely this... I tried so hard to continue enjoying Zwift but it felt more like a game as time moved on. What instantly grabbed me with TPV was the fact it feels more 'serious'. The addition of real world routes would really add to this, love what you've got so far and the fact you are so engaged with your user forum!
