Thank you for the feedback. This is a common request and has been added to that project’s feedback.

Future opportunities have not been added to our road map yet, but we are actively collecting feedback which contributes to the prioritization process. We do not want to set up false expectations and want to make sure that there is awareness that this update currently is not prioritized and does not have an ETA.

As a non-binary athlete, this is so important to have. I was forced to choose either "male" or "female" when making my TrainingPeaks account, and frankly that sucks. I'm neither, and I don't race as either. In my local racing scene we have so much support to race as to how we identify that we have a bunch of non-binary registration, start-line and podium options. Both Strava and TrainerRoad support gender-inclusive options. This is *critical* to recognizing and supporting us. Very glad to see it marked as planned, thank you, but that update was in 2022. I hope this happens soon.

So I am voting for this because it's the overarching idea. However, while setting default equipment per activity type (road, mountain, indoor etc.) would be a good start, the best way to do this (for bikes) is to allow us to set the equipment based on sensor data. Specifically power meter serial in the .FIT file.

Intervals.icu allows this and it's a super great way to have all my activities automatically assigned to the appropriate bike, which then lets me set e.g. "lube chain every 400 miles" alerts. So far it's the only platform able to do this well (Garmin Connect and Strava equipment tracking are both as bad as TrainingPeaks is now, the site activityfix.com can improve it for Strava with the heuristics I just described, but Intervals.icu is doing it best).

Please, when you do this, let me assign each bike as default based on the attached power meter!

Edit: an existing issue describing this ask: https://peaksware.uservoice.com/forums/106657-trainingpeaks-customer-feedback/suggestions/41885053-automatic-bike-selection-based-on-ant-ble-ids

I have a year of data in Cronometer, it is 10x better than its competitors. I'm not moving from it, so I'd love TrainingPeaks to pull its data in.
