  1. On the dashboard I would like to see something similar to the "Time in heart rate zones" chart but as a pie chart showing % of time spent in each zone over the selected time. This would look something like the "Fitness summary" chart but for heart rate. The same thing for "Time in power zone" or "Time in speed zone" would also be very useful. Basically, a way to see if I am in sticking to 80/20 at a glance.

  3. Hi everyone,

I'd like to suggest an improvement for the TrainingPeaks app. While the app allows for tracking a lot of important training data, automatic synchronization of sleep data directly from the iPhone's Health app isn't currently available.

Including this functionality would be incredibly helpful. It would greatly simplify tracking a crucial aspect of recovery and performance, eliminating the need to manually enter this data.

What are your thoughts? I believe this would be a very valuable addition for most users.

    Thanks for your consideration.

  4. I would like to be able to sort my peak paces by time, as well as distance. For instance, Joe Friel uses a 20 minutes time trial to set pace and heart rate zones, it would be good to filter that to see my other peak 20 minutes efforts.

  5. I think TrainingPeaks should add a notification feature when athletes' TSB exceed certain amount, like -30/-50, etc. Because my athletes usually get ill or injured when they keep their TSB below -50 for a few weeks, that might indicate athletes could get overtraining in a short period of time.

Hopefully this feature can help coaches to avoid overtraining beforehand.

    Thank you

  6. When you complete a workout on TP Virtual it then syncs back to TP but if you have stopped for the loo or something else, (get more water etc) it doesn't line up on the chart again. I was told this is because it's done on elapsed time not riding time. I think this should be change or at least a option to change it. The same with it gives you total time at the top not riding time. For example the session I have added the image for I was riding for 2hrs 2mins, but it tells me it…

  7. Running power measurement can come from different inputs: apps (e.g. Kinomap connected to a treadmill), Stryd, Garmin / Suunto / Coros, etc, with different scale.

However, TrainingPeaks allows only a single running power threshold, and inserting multiple zones in the same list (max 10 zones) does not allow an accurate TSS calculation, which depends on FTP/CP.

The question is whether it would be possible to have multiple power thresholds that can be associated with running depending on the measurement device being used.

    Thank you

  8. I would like to mirror metrics such as RHR. I would like the graph to travel upwards as the RHR data lowers. Up ward travel is universally understood as a good thing and similarly it would be nice to parallel it against HRV which typically is good if its trending upwards. Im doing this manually using an excel spreadsheet but think TP could do a better job.

  10. In the weekly recap, on the right side of the calendar, include a small and intuitive graph or table that shows the breakdown of the scheduled training into LIT / MIT / HIT.
It should be simple and easy to read, but highly useful for tracking training distribution.

  11. Offer a more sophisticated workout compliance analysis.
This would specifically be for structured workouts.
For example, if the plan/coach has set a cycling workout with a mix of warm-up, easier zone durations and some higher intensity sets (eg. 6 x 3min at 110% of FTP / with 1 min rest) ... then could compliance be reported on following the structure of the workout.
Eg. I could complete the workout at the allotted duration, or TSS for that matter, but have done so without adherence to the structure. Ideally this could be reported on a per workout basis or across a…

  12. For indoor and outdoor rowing, many coaches prescribe stroke rate targets. Please consider adding Rate as a Unit for structured workouts and workout compliance.

Rowing Power on the water is restricted to a few devices that won't accept structured workouts. Pace fluctuates with water conditions, heart rate and cadence. Indoor rowing power is more meaningful, but still a rate prescription is often a way of indicating intensity as well.

Very specifically, this is how I would like to use this:
I row with an EmPower Oarlock, and an NK SpeedCoach GPS 2 - this is the most accessible on the…

  13. Currently in the Structured Workout Builder, Planned Work (kJ) is only calculated when the sport type is set to "Bike". Switching the exact same workout to "Mtn Bike" causes the kJ field to go blank — even when FTP is configured for Mtn Bike Power and the workout is built in % FTP with Target intensity. Planned TSS and IF still calculate correctly in both cases; only kJ is affected.

This was confirmed with TP Support (Anthony H.) and is not currently documented as a known limitation.

Why this matters: for athletes who genuinely train and race on MTB —…

  14. It would be very useful to have an estimated duration for strength training workouts and an estimated distance for running workouts (walking/running), so that athletes and coaches can better plan and understand sessions more easily.

  15. TrainingPeaks tracks everything that builds fitness, but nothing that breaks it. I'd like to see injury tracking added as a first-class data type, not a metric comment buried in the calendar.

    Four parts:

    1. A dedicated injury entry type. Log an injury via a visual body map plus a structured body-part list (so it's selectable data, not free text). Each entry holds detailed descriptors, rehab methods, and attachments from a physio or medical professional, all in one place on the calendar.

    2. A daily pain score out of 10. The entry repeats daily, so the athlete logs where the injury is at…

  16. I started a strength workout on a Tuesday, wasn't able to finish, then on Wednesday finished the remaining items and it says I did 22 hours of strength training and my dashboard is all out of whack. I cannot seem to modify the total time via the web or the app.

  17. Hi,

it would be great if I could add certain comments into TP that would be included in the PMC. For example, I contracted Covid twice end in the winter training season 2023/2024 and eventually it took me 4 months to reach the same CTL level that I had at the beginning of the first infection.

It would be nice to mark the beginning and end of the infection period or mark training camps.

Most people today take a screenshot of the PMC and add these notes. However, the downside of this is that when you create a new PMC,…

  18. Currently, the training sessions created and executed from the 'New Strength Builder' do not appear in the Dashboard metrics on the web, such as in the 'Fitness Summary' or the time in 'Fitness History.' The time is recorded in the Calendar tab but not in the Dashboard tab. It would be great to get an update on this.

  19. For polarized and pyramidal training appoaches, it would be helpful to have a stacked chart option for zone 1&2, zone 3, and zone 4&5. Alternatively, being able to export chart data, or custom combine zones would be a helpful analysis addition to the existing stacked time in zones chart.

  20. The only way to send miles splits to Training Peaks from the Apple Watch is to hit the 'lap' button every mile. This is a different behavior from using a Garmin device which sends the per mile data as laps. I know the Apple Watch data is available as both Strava and Apple Health are giving me my data per mile. It would be very helpful to send this data to TP so my coach has it instead of multiple workarounds, like attaching screenshots from the Apple health app.
