  1. 1, Pacers should be marked on the small map by a coloured dot to show where they are within the pack.
    2. Average speed needs to be selectable to show on the UI screen somewhere.
    3. Percentage of Max HR as an average and currently, needs to be available on the main screen as some coaches want you to work to that level even when just riding with a pacer or in a race.
    4. Some more interesting landscapes that are winding paths within trees or through woods would be good.

  2. Cornering currently feels completely off on TPV. This is partly due to line choice (a lone rider follows the curve of the road and doesn't take a racing line) but visually it is also disengaging to watch as the avatar does not put an outside foot down, lean and fight centrifugal force in a bend.

    Biketerra have recently updated their avatar animations to do this, and it totally transforms the feeling of cornering. You can see their implementation here:

  3. Add some dopamine boosting elements:
    - some kind of bonuses (not necessarily like Zwift ones)
    - achievements
    - some bonuses for riding through gates
    - live ranking of segments
    - checkboxes / stats of completed routes
    - ranks / levels
    - etc

    Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

    In general, some degree of gamification can be good, but we need to be careful not to go too far - for example, we would not want to do anything that encouraged an athlete to train when it would be better for them to be resting etc.

    It's therefore an area we will certainly be looking at, but at this stage it's unclear what changes we may or may not make.

  4. Today I have done the FTP test, The 20’ all out effort isn’t structured properly. I had issues with the power distribution and cadence. The two were not properly correlated. I’m sure there is something to do to improve. I was using the wahoo kickr core as trainer

  5. What if you could customise a pace bot... no rubber band but any other bots added to the event stick with the pacer.

    Options for the bot:

    1. progression - ramps up over the duration of the event
    2. Workout - follows a workout from your collection (this is the gamified workout ticked off)
    3. Climber - hit climbs hard and recovery on descents / flat
    4. Sprints - ride easy with intermittent sprints
    5. Fartlek - random intervals of varying length and intensity

    Sure other people can add some more ideas. Weight and FTP of the bot should also be customisable to match your…

  6. The number one cause of sudden death in athletes 35+ yo is cardiovascular. Besides that, AFib is the leading arrhythmia in endurance athletes. Let's improve TrainingPeaks Virtual, TrainingPeaks, and WKO5 by integrating real-time ECG plotting and post-session review capabilities with the Movesense MD sensor. This feature would allow athletes, coaches, and sports medicine physicians to gain a deeper understanding of their cardiovascular system during long exercise sessions.

  8. Current virtual gearing is severely limited on the low end. With my mechnical gears I could be in 32t chainring and 32t rear sprocket, happily spinning up a 12% grade at 90rpm below my FTP watts.

    With virtual gearing, with expanded range at 40 virtual gears, at -8 or the lowest possible gear, it's nowhere near the same experience. I have to be standing and grinding at 65rpm well above my FTP watts.

    The help article admits this: "Virtual gearing is set up so that you can decrease the resistance a little but increase it a lot. "

  9. When I do a ride, there are no Strava segments on the routes. I’m not sure if this is a system limitation or if no one has created them yet, but you should proactively create good segments before random people create not-so-great segments.

  11. When TP is connected to Garmin Connect and doing a ride where the ride is saved via TPV and from a Garmin device, the ride's stats get doubled. This is due to the data being saved from TPV and then pulled down again from Garmin Connect.

    TP should be smart enough to pull the most complete (data accurate) version of the same ride. This is what's done with Garmin Connect.

  12. Pacebots are not available in Zen mode. This is due to how zen mode was implemented in that you don't see other riders, but other rides technically still see you (no name).

    Pacebots need added in for riders in zen mode who want pushed.

  13. There should be a new bike type that can be selected in TPV for those of us that ride fixie or single speed.

    Be nice for a UI option for single speed mode to prevent\ignore shifting. This would help others realize why a rider's cadence maybe very high or low compared to other near by riders or those in a group.

  14. When setting up a TTT event we should have the ability to set weather conditions
    Eg fix the weather setting so all TTT events have the same setting when ridden at different times
    As an example wind speed starting from the North 7mph , pivoting at a pre set motion , so 5 min into the event it may be coming from the North East.
    Also have the ability to set the wind speed with a variable speed.
    Challenge is to ensure these settings can be replicated so all events have the same variables
    This will improve the limited TTT…

  15. When using TPV on iPhone, the ride will end automatically if you switch to a new app. For example Spotify or YouTube or anything, if you put TPV in the background it will end ride after about 90seconds or so….

  16. Today I completed two workouts where I displayed data from a Core Body Temperature sensor. While I was able to see my core body temperature on display in the UI, however it did not record this data to the .FIT file when the ride was complete.

  17. Bit surprised to find that second display doesn't work if the resolution is different, even when changing the in-game resolution to match it! Please add support to enable a second screen that might be at a different resolution. Being able to add a small USB C display as a second screen is great but often these are lower res low cost displays.

  18. You recently declined a persons suggestion (on/off toggle to identity bots)

    This after event scenario does zero to help during a group ride, event, etc. to be able to chat with other riders, ask questions, etc. We need to know Bots from real humans DURING the activity.
    Today's group ride, several riders seemed frustrated to who was a real human and who wasn't. This was a group ride, not a race, so being able to 'talk' is something leisurely riders like to do.

  20. When climbing a mountain it would be nice to see road markings with distance to the summit. Now we have to look at the route histogram and guess how far to go. Road signs would add to the experience, concentration and motivation.
