Based on usage data, we know that deleting workouts is not a typical behavior in our app. Whereas a coach swiping to reveal their list of athletes is a much more common action. So at this time we plan to leave this gesture as is. Thank you for the feedback.

Currently there are no plans to provide a file converter. The exported file will always be the originally uploaded file. There are online tools that do this already, and most device manufacturers provide this functionality as well.

  3. When the entire elapsed time is counted for workout paces, etc. they are skewed and do not reflect the data in GarminConnect.

  4. Allow Adding nutrient info per workout (eg fields for grams of carbs, fat and protein consumed during the workout). This would allow you to review past workout nutritional info that worked well for a certain type of workout

  5. Take off the CTL, ATL and TSB on the app that the athlete uses. It can be very ordinary for their psychology when they see these values.

  6. When merging data from multiple devices, there are frequently alignment issues for me. I have a garmin 920XT, and a wired (LYC) PowerTap. Since the LYC PowerTap time codes are relative to the start of the log, there is frequently "drift" between it and the Garmin. For continuous effort rides, this isn't much of a big deal. But, for interval efforts, it becomes a pain to assess HR/power relationships.

It would be nice to have a editor of some sort to shift/stretch the merged device files in order to align the critical portions of a workout.

    Similarly, for devices that…

  7. Currently to export a workout file for use on a trainer it seems you need to first put it in your calendar. Didn't realise this and wasted time before I accidentally discovered this. This is an unnecessary extra step, so would like to see the ability to export direct from the Workout Library.

We apologize that this tripped you up. Yes, it is required that workouts are planned on your calendar in order to sync with one of our partners. The reason for this is to encourage coached athletes, or athletes following a training plan, to perform their prescribed workouts. For self-coached athletes we still feel it is valuable to plan your workouts in advance. Being able to compare planned versus actual can help determine if the workout was successfully executed.

Planning workouts on the calendar will allow you to take advantage of our Structured Workout Overlay feature. https://www.trainingpeaks.com/blog/stay-on-track-with-the-new-structured-workout-overlay/

Workouts can be quickly planned, or rescheduled, for the current day with both our web and mobile apps. Planning workouts for the current day is available for both basic and premium athletes. Planning workouts in to the future does require a premium account.

  8. Could you please add two blocks to build workout:
    - a linear ramp up (not with steps) from a bottom to a summit
    - a linear ramp down from a summit to a bottom

Sorry for my English and thanks in advance

Most devices and apps do not support a linear ramp step. The Computrainer platform supported this, but is not longer in development. Our current stepped ramp can be configured to have up to 40 steps, with each step defaulting to a 1% increase in FTP over the previous step. This provides a very linear ramp up. A note of caution though, each device and app has its own limit on the number of steps that it supports in a single workout, so this feature may not be compatible with every device or app.

  9. This is how most social feeds are displayed (Facebook, Twitter, email) so each time I go into TrianingPeaks, it throws me off and I start scrolling the wrong direction.

Unlike Facebook, Twitter, email, etc where all the items in the feed are in the past, in our apps there may also be workouts planned in the future. For this reason we chose to match the scrolling direction found in most calendar apps. So at this time there are no plans to change the scrolling behavior.

  10. The workout builder and it's ability to control a smart trainer is great in all respects except max efforts, would it be possible to build in the functionality to switch between ERG and resistance mode when building a workout?
I use the IQ app to export to my garmin 520 and can manually switch to resistance mode on the computer. The problem is that when the workout starts another interval it overrides this and goes back to ERG mode and suddenly dumps me at the mid point of the range ie 800w.

  11. It would be great to add watt per kilo to the dashboard tiles, to toggle between watt only and watt/kilo for each power peak performance marker.

  12. Adding a field in metric for nap specifically in addition to the total (night) sleep time. I rarely get 8 hours of nightly sleep but always have an hour to 2 of nap time in the late am/early pm and the field would be beneficial to track in the metrics with total sleep time

  15. It would be great to have about 10 metrics that could be assigned numerical values at the athlete level, that could be pulled and used in the building charts and reports. For example, I like to use resting HR values in some of my HR charts as a reference point (sort of like HR reserve concept). I can either modified each chart to have a specific athlete's RHR, or currently I use the ski workout and the MHR value for this... which work okay, but I'd rather have definable variables for each athlete. Likewise a generic variable could be crank…

  18. Currently on TP is only possible to design workout based on:
    - Power
    - Speed
    - Cadence
    - HR

I would like to construct workout for the indoor training based on the simulated slope% or indoor-trainer simulated resistance.

The Garmin it self can already send such command to the trainer, but only via manual setting, this is not very comfortable during a session.
Honeslty I don't understand the limitation behind it, since for example TACX does it.

    Thanks

  20. Hi there, I would like to be able to add customized metrics so I can integrate views on the data I need from both questionnaires as well as training data.

Use case for me would be: I want to integrate the Short Recovery and Stress State (SRSS) questionnaire in my routine so I can keep track of it in combination with the hard data. The current fields are not sufficient for this so it would be great if I can manually add them somehow,

I am convinced more coaches and athletes will want to have their metrics and charts combined.…
