  1. Garmin recently updated some of their Forerunner devices to enable users to enter Self Evaluation data during the save of the activity just completed. Two values are asked for: perceived effort (scale: 0-10) and how you felt (5 point scale from Very Weak to Very Stong).

    These seem to map directly to what TrainingPeaks has had as an activity setting for years already.

    Is there any plan in place to automatically set the values in TrainingPeaks during sync of activity data from Garmin Connect?

  2. Over the past many years I have saved alot of workout plans in the Training library. I would like to download them to word or excel or pdf as a backup save to Training peaks. I feel at the moment that TP owns my work because I have no way to take it off TP. I could loose it all one day.

    If TP goes down, is hacked or changes their account rules etc I may loose years of work that went into creating the workouts. I would like to be responsible for backing up my own work.

  4. Whilst kayaking, SUP, surf ski etc might be individually a bit niche, a paddle sports workout type would benefit multi-sporters and paddlers would make quick visual checks of calendars, breakdowns etc so much nicer

  5. A notification to coaches that an athlete has missed a scheduled workout. Perhaps notifications linked to the session adherence RAG status.

    Often workouts are completed as planned and only need a small amount of feedback. The conversation around understanding why a workout has been missed is far more valuable to the coach-athlete relationship.

    Thank you for the feedback. This is a common request and has been added to that project’s feedback.

    Future opportunities have not been added to our road map yet, but we are actively collecting feedback which contributes to the prioritization process. We do not want to set up false expectations and want to make sure that there is awareness that this update currently is not prioritized and does not have an ETA.

  6. I love your new feature named “Available “ but it only allows you to be “unavailable.” Athletes travel for work, training, and or races and coaches need to be informed. The “availability” option should allow an athlete to input their status in this box. This would allow more communication between athlete and coach.

  8. Add TrainHeroic (Link Button) as a "add a Workout" Option (Workout Type) on TrainingPeaks Calendar... which will bring a client to their TrainHeroic Login/ TrainHeroic App (Dashboard/Calendar)

    This will allow clients to easily see that they have (and go to) a scheduled session on TrainHeroic.

  9. It would be great to be able to add multi-day events like stage races or ultra distance events over several days. At the moment you have to add a event for every single day of the event.

  11. It's great that we have the ability to use an .ical to view our calender externally, but I'm surprised there isn't an option to write directly into an existing Google calender.

    I've noticed that there can be significant delays using .ical, and if my coach updates something in the plan, it doesn't show immediatly, where I would expect this data to be pushed instantly.

    The calender integration, whilst useful, still feels a little unpolished.

  12. TrainingPeaks does not auto-apply Elevation Correction to files, for example Gramin 735xt.

    Improvement would be a Elevation Correction in Trainingpeaks or a import of adjusted data in Trainingpeaks, e.g. from Garmin Connect

  13. Sometimes the gps fails and records numbers that are LITERALLY impossible, but the system does not allow to erase them and the "unreal" peaks remain there forever. It would be really useful if the new performance peaks could be "accepted" if it is a real peak or "rejected" if you know they are false. For Garmin, this option exists for "personal records", not sure if it is possible to do here.

  14. Protection of knowledge and data

    As a professional coach, you have your own working method and strategy. When professional athletes come to you for advice and guidance, you obviously want to help them with that. However, you do not want your knowledge and data to be simply transferred to other coaches and teams when the collaboration ends. So there should be an option to delete all planned workouts/assignments without deleting the athlete's uploads for professional coaches.
    Now we have to manually delete this every time.

  15. When I swim, I swim in metric so 25m pool or 2500m in open water. However, when I cycle or run, I do it in miles. Unfortunately there is only 1 unit preference setting in Training Peaks which makes it a pain as I cannot figure out how well I'm doing for my lap swims or my open water swims. I tried to manually update the distance on the swim workout to meters but the pace still shows in yards. I would suggest that training peaks have a default unit per activity type so that swims display in metric while…

  16. Please add "Average" to metrics "Overall Feeling" and "Motivation" so you don't have to choose between "Below Average" and "Above Average".

    My coach was asking me why I feel "below average" since a long time. I answered there is no possibility to choose "Average", only possibility to choose "Above Average" but I don't feel "Above Average" because I feel "Average".

  18. For a cross-country skier two profiles for skiing is critical, one for classic and one for skate! In this way it will be possible to do some analyses!

  19. Better options for Availability. Example, selecting reoccurring days off per week or month. For instance, if there are training programs in place, it auto populates for all the days. Now if there is an option to block off dates we can’t work out, then the training day automatically moves to next available day. Check out Hal Higdon’s running app, the calendar lets you choose workout days.

If, as a coach, you currently keep your preparation hidden for future training sessions or write notes but want to keep it hidden from the athlete. these will all become visible when the athlete disconnects from the coach. i suggest making hidden things disappear when disconnecting. that way, as a coach, you can set up a long-term plan and still keep it hidden. at the time the partnership ends, the athlete does not get this information for free.
