  1. Tag device used to record session

TrainingPeaks web app could read the device brand & model used to record the session (just like WKO5 does) add this info in the tags section or elsewhere. It would be helpful when dealing with duplicates or asking an athlete to change a specific setting on his device.

  2. Smart description, pre- and post-activity comments

The description, pre-, and post-activity comments fields could work with basic math functions and variables (eg. set FTP).

For example, I like to note "15+17+12=44 minutes of sweet spot intervals". The web app could do the math for me, just like Excel.

Another option is to check interval numbers against reference metrics like FTP or max HR. For example, I could write 30 min @ 300/FTP, and it would return the interval avg power/FTP ratio.

  3. Add inline skating as a workout category

It would be great if inline skating could be added to your platform, I also noticed that a coach is offering inline skate training plans - so I think this makes sense - thanks! https://www.trainingpeaks.com/training-plans/other/tp-47613/8-weeks-prepare-for-inline-speed-skating-marathon

  4. Better Smart Segments

WKO3 had Multifile Range Analysis, where you manually added segments to a comparison file so you compare your past efforts on a particular part of a ride. This was dropped for WKO4 (booo).

WKO5 has Smart Segments based on GPS data recognising you were riding the same road as a previously identified Smart Segment. These fail in two ways though.

    1. You can't remove efforts from the analysis where you were just sitting in a bunch having a chat. This will quickly make finding the date you want to analyses more difficult, as it will be surrounded by data you don't…

  5. Training availability improvement

It would be more productive to show the unavailability description (if present). As a coach, I am always hovering over it to check why an athlete can't train on a specific day(s) as it may affect the workouts before or after it.

  6. Pop-up remains open as the mouse moves horizontally along chart

Feature request: In the widget that display heartrate/pace overlaid against elevation profile, there is a pop-up window that is displayed when the mouse hovers over one of the plot lines.

Currently, the pop-up disappears if the mouse doesn't trace one of the plot-lines. This is both difficult and frustrating to do.

It would be great if this pop-up appeared and followed the mouse as it moves horizontally along chart.

Hope this makes sense. Please see the screenshot attached for more information.

  7. Auto-calc TSS for a planned workout

Hi guys. For the longest time I’ve wondered why the mobile app doesn’t allow for auto-calc’ing the TSS of a planned workout based on duration and intensity. For me, it makes the app not very useful. I have to go to the browser app. Could this please be added?

  8. Allow Metrics to be used in a Training Plan

I would like to be able to use Metrics (just as any workout type) in a Training Plan. Currently, there seems no automated way to add a Metrics "workout" to every week/day of an athlete's calendar.

  9. Enable saving of x/y scatter plot axis.

I use x/y scatter plots to analyse power/torque effectiveness and pedal smoothness. But each time I close a work it defaults to HR/elevation.

Can you make the x/y scatter settings permanent and not default back to HR/elevation?

  10. Synchronization with TrainHeroic

Strength is now a key part of an endurance athlete's program, and my S&C coach uses TrainHeroic while my regular coach uses TrainingPeaks. The fact that I have to copy workouts and comments over by hand absolutely blows my mind considering that you are literally the same company. There should be an easy way to synchronize S&C programming in TrainHeroic with endurance programming in TrainingPeaks.

  11. Events notification

It would be helpful to have notifications when an athlete or coach added an event to the calendar or ATP.

  12. Define a custom period (e.g., 10-days versus fixed weekly)

As a masters athlete, I find myself wanting to train based on a 9 or 10 day period (versus weekly) -- it would be ideal to be able to view and plan based on the custom period that is right for me (versus only being able to see summaries, etc. as weekly).

(I noticed there were two separate requests for this feature back in 2015 that were both Declined. As as exercise science progresses and the users of Training Peaks changes, I'm hoping that it's worth bringing this feature up again for consideration. Thx!)

  13. Automatically detect/ignore bad heart rate data

The heart rate data reported by my fitness device is often bad/wrong/erroneous; it would be great for TrainingPeaks to have an option to ignore bad heart rate data, e.g., anything greater than my maximum heart rate.

My example: I have used the wrist-based monitor on numerous Apple Watches (including the latest Series 6) as well as a Garmin 945. In all cases, the heart rate is sometimes wildly inaccurate, sometimes reporting higher than my max heart rate (for me it often reports > 200 which is way above my max of about 185), sometimes frozen at a particular heart rate.…

  14. Recalculate all peak performances

After uploading a bunch (years) of prior data from Strava, I want to see all my peak performances, including the ones that took place among those prior years.

Details of what I did and saw: I had been uploading data for a couple years to TrainingPeaks, and just recently upgraded to Premium. I then used Tapiriik to do a full upload/sync from Strava to TrainingPeaks of years of prior data. After the sync was done, I could see the individual workouts, but none of the old peak performances were reflected in my new workouts, e.g., a new 50 mile run…

  15. Add Oura sleep and recovery data synchronization to automatic Training data uploads

Enable the Oura sleep and recovery data to be automatically synchronized. Specifically, resting heart rate (RHR) could be added automatically.

  16. Add charts to Calendar summary

When planning my training I check the PMC after adding/updating each workout and then adjust the workouts until I get CTL/ATL/TSB at the levels I want them for each point in training.
Currently I have to do this by having two tabs open (dashboard and calendar) and refreshing the dashboard after every change; it would be great if I could add a chart to (or instead of, perhaps using a tabbed view to show/hide) the weekly summary.

  17. Tags with mobile app

I would like to be able to add tags to a workout with the mobile app also. It is a bit frustrating that i can only do some things with mobile and yhen i'll have to remember to do the rest with pc later

  18. Export workout without pace goals

I run with a Garmin Watch and get pace alerts when I am out of range with my interval workouts. There is unfortunately no way to disable these alerts and searching for this on the Garmin forums, it seems to be a real issue with many of your customers using Garmin watches. Here are some of the conversations:

    https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-935/135766/how-to-switch-pace-alerts-of

    https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-935/153358/how-can-i-turn-off-out-of-zone-alerts-in-workout-mode

    https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-945/169040/sound-and-visual-alerts-in-workout-mode

I would love to build "% Threshold Pace" workouts and sync them to my Garmin watch without the pace data. The pace range could be set as a comment or as the block title. This would enable me to…

  19. Edit/rename or delete tags in WKO+

Once you enter a tag in WKO+, it's there forever: there is no way to delete a tag. Similarly, if you misspell a tag, there is currently no way to edit or rename that tag (you must instead create another tag that is correctly spelled).

My suggestion: like just about every other program out there that uses tags, allow renaming or deleting tags. Look at 1Password if you want some ideas for how this should be implemented.

  20. Allow the ability to order equipment

It would be useful to be able to rearrange the order of equipment. For example: I have multiple running shoes listed in my equipment, it would be good to be able to arrange them by various things such as current mileage (or mileage until limit reached), date purchased etc.
