How can we improve TrainingPeaks?

      I like how we can edit pace times in the data grid when the GPS gives inaccurate data. However, there are a few GPS dead zones in my city where the paces can be off for a mile or more, which means it takes a long time to correct all that data manually.

      It would be great if we could bulk edit the pace data (for example, select a lap and assign an average pace that would then populate all the rows in that lap). This would also help for running indoors or on a treadmill where the GPS accelerometer…

        Have you guys considered adding more sports categories. I have used TP for 18 months but always feel a little disappointed in the number of categories. I use Movescount , linked to TP, and it has over 50.

        Even if you added a few categories it would assist analysis. I have a whole stack of activities under 'Custom' or 'Other' and while the free text title is good for explaining activity, the hours are just lumped together.         • An option for metric nutrition units (kJ instead of kcal)

          Nutrition (and activity energy expenditure) seems to be the only unit(s) in TP which isn't fully metric. Could we please have an option for kJ instead of kcal for nutrition reporting? The sync between MFP and TP (and vice-versa) converts between kJ and kcal easily enough, but it would be better to have consistent units.

          • It would be very much appreciated an integration of WKO4 iLevels in TrainingPeaks

            Manual editing of power zones in TP is really annoying. It would be perfect to get at least the "Coggan iLevels" item, not to mentaion the automatic sinc.

              • maintenance tracking & reporting

                I would love to have some maintenance tracking functionality. I just put on a new chain, chainring, and cassette. I would love some way to enter the date I did that and then be able to look at some type of report that would show me how many miles and days it has been since the install of each.

                This could also apply to things like tires, battery life on different components (I am thinking Di2, mostly), wheels, and much much more.

                Over time this should give us a much better way of keeping our bikes running in top shape.…

                • workout charts update with selection (especially lap selection)

                  When viewing workout charts it would be nice to have the charts (like power distribution) update with selection (the way the totals do). That way you can see your power distribution for a specific interval or ignore your warmup and cooldown.
                  It would be even better if you could use the lap check boxes to make the selection so that you could see summaries of non-continuous selections. So you could, for example, skip the rest period between intervals.

                    • Rename General Zone Title

                      When creating a new General Zone it should be possible to rename the general Zone Title (on attach I have two zone with the same name) because it would make it easier to work with multiples zones. Also, after uploading a workout it should be possible to recalculate it against the right Zone

                      • Have TSS, and Acute (ATL) and Chronic Training Load (CTL) all have the same Y axis scale.

                        Since the PMC is supposed to be an "at a glance" chart, it will be much more intuitive to see if a day's workout is above / below the ATL/CTL plots if they all were on the same scale.

                        I see that this idea has been offered up before but declined in 2014. Since I no rationale was given, I thought I would bring it up again in the hope that with the all the changes you have made to TrainingPeaks it would be an easy enhancement.

                          In an interval workout, whether swimming, cycling or running, there are rest / recovery laps in between hard intervals. And some of the hard intervals may have different sets of intensity or distance. To be able to evaluate your performance of a workout you need to be able to select some of these distinct laps to view the combined performance of particular lap set(s) of a workout.

                          Presently you can check mark laps to highlight them on the graph of the Analyze tab, but the data information still reflects the entire workout. You can select a single lap to get…

                            I think it is a great feature you can set up 2 ftp profiles to outdoor and indoor trainnings. For instance i cann't get the same watts in the road and in the Cycleops Jet Fluid Pro

                            • Add an option to exclude certain workouts from the PMC and all other summaries and calculations

                              If there isn't a way already, there should be a method in which you can "uncheck" or "hide" workouts you want to exclude, in particular duplicates from other sources so that they don't reflect in the PMC and other totals. This would be useful for athletes that upload duplicates that have different data from different power sources and would like to use one preferred source for power metrics without having to delete the duplicate from the other power meter source. Even better if it was intelligent in preferring a certain power meter's input.

                                • Configuring x and y axes on some dashboard charts

                                  Please consider the sensible scaling of some x and y axes on dashboard charts, either automatically or manually.

                                  Example: on my "peak pace by distance" chart the minimum x is 400m, which seems reasonable, but on the "peak pace" chart the minimum x is 5secs, which is badly affected by jumpy GPS data. Perhaps 1 minute might be a sensible minimum (approx equivalent to 400m for some people).

                                  And on both charts the y axes use rather un-intuitive pace values (e.g. 1:07 and 5:33). Could these not be rounded off better to say 10 sec intervals?

                                  • Add alcohol consumption to metrics

                                    Hi

                                    Ive recently discovered that consuming large quantities of alcohol the night before a training session affects my form in said training session. Further to this shocking development i would like to add it as a performance metric.

                                    Being serious i would like to see the impact of no alcohol, some alcohol & excess alcohol on subsequent training sessions so would be grateful if this could be added to your metrics or even allow some user defined metrics.

                                    • It would be very useful to planificate workouts that the sport icon could be in diferent colors according the intensity of the sessions.

                                      Sport icons with diferent colors atending the intensity session. Imagine: Red for hard jobs in z 7-6-5, orange for medium intensity workouts and green for the easiest.
                                      Athlete could see about the intensity of the day and week and trainer could program better the week workouts.

                                      • Workout Summary Info

                                        It would be great if the workout summary information was customizable to each coaches needs. I have little use for some of the variables given to me, and yet other variables (average watts, average heart rate) are not available on the summary so I have to go into each workout every time via my phone or computer. Thanks!
