  2. Please allow specifying a rep range for strength workout exercises, not just a target rep. The New Strength Builder is a great step in the right direction to fully-functional programming of strength workouts in TrainingPeaks, but it is still missing critical features like this.

Being able to specify the rep range is important for communicating and adhering to the workout plan. For example, if the coach programs 4 reps with the mindset of "at least 4" and the athlete executes 3 because it is "about 4", this is quite different than if the coach programs 15 reps intending a range…

  3. It would be great if the first result(s) are the most common or generic option when adding an exercise to the plan. While it is nice the New Strength Builder has a large library of exercise (names) to choose from, this plethora of variations makes it difficult to prescribe just the most basic exercise.

For example, if I search "squat", I most likely want a back squat, not an air squat, anderson squat, cossack squat, etc. This most-common variant could even be bolded or highlighted in such a way to indicate it is recommended.

This is important when exercises are…

  4. Strength training is a core element of my training strategy, so I am excited that TrainingPeaks is improving support for programming strength workouts. In addition to other requested features here, I would like to be able to prescribe the number of warm-up sets for a given exercise. This is distinct from the warm-up exercises that already exist.

In my training plan it is important to distinguish that although only 1-2 sets may be "working" sets, there are also several warm-up sets performed at significantly lower weight and reps. From a UX perspective, it is challenging to communicate this when there…

  5. Please add core temperature as a METRIC. I don't use a temperature sensor, but I know when my core temperature is elevated. The metric would be for general tracking, e.g. normal, elevated, lower than normal.

My core temp varies greatly throughout my menstrual cycle, and when it's high -- which can be for three weeks or more -- average HR can be up to 20 bpm higher, I can't hydrate enough, and training is compromised: an 'easy' 45 min run is often an effortful slog that leaves me feeling wiped out the next day.

  6. I absolutely love the Apple Watch Ultra sync from the TP app on my phone, but please add in the ability to sync any running workout, not just ones with HR. My coach has been giving me RPE workouts instead of HR because of medical issues I'm coming back from, but I'm having to manually create these on the watch, when a sync that's just time based intervals anyways, should be able to be synced.

  9. Since Training Peaks is used by multiple endurance sports other than run, bike, and swim, I would love to see a way to map my sport to "Custom"

I would imagine it working like this....
    1. In settings allow the user to rename custom sport to whatever they would like to call it
    2. Create a way for it to be mapped form the various devices. For example - my sport is standup, so i would map all activites that came over from my grmin device with the activity set to "Standup Paddleboarding" to always be set to custom when…

  10. I would like to see paddle sprots added as a workout type. This workout type would be able to cover

    Outrigger Paddling
    Standup paddleboard
    K1
    C1
    Kayaking
    Canoeing
    Dragon Boat
    Whitewater Rafting
    Surf Ski
    Paddleboarding

Training Peaks is used for more than Bike, Run, Swim. I heard a podcast with Dirk Friel recently and he stated "Other" was the largest growing sport sector currently. Adding a general "Paddle Sport" would allow you to enable a lot of functionality across all of the sport types I listed making TrainingPeaks great for water endurance sports.

Also to note, your competitor Final Surge,…

  13. Currently once you start a workout which has been created in the new strength workout builder, you cannot alter some of the key parameters (e.g. adding sets, merging to create supersets, etc). This kind of functionality is so useful (and is built into the free versions of apps like 'Strength Log'). It would be great to have this available as part of the TP version.

Also not sure why you can only create the workout on the desktop app, and then only execute it on the mobile app?

  14. the new strength workout builder does not currently sync to WKO (unlike the old version of the strength workout). This is very frustrating, and currently my workaround is to create a duplicate workout using the old strength workout, so that I do have one which has sync'd to WKO.

  15. Can you add "Hiking" or "Backpacking" as an activity type? Walking and Running don't cover these two activity types and athletes want to be able to specify.

  17. when I look at all of my workouts, I want to be able to click and hold on a workout, and then move it to a different day. Kinda like the home screen of an iPhone, clicking, and holding on an app, makes them all shake.

  18. New strength builder is a good step in right direction. However, basically every gym app has section for history/analytics where a user can easily check progression and different kind of graphs. We need that too.

Also, it is a very easy task to look a few popular gym apps like Strong and see how history/analytics has been done. And what other features they have... ;)

  19. Not sure if this exists and I'm unaware of it, but I'd love a running chat window to communicate with my athlete beyond individual notes on individual workouts.

I text or email with some of my clients on non-workout specific issues and I'd love to be able to do this within the platform. A basic version would be just an ongoing conversation. A more mature version could be topic based, so a convo could be grouped by topic
