audio messages
Being able to add short (i.e. 60-90") audio messages directly on training blocs and/or Notes would boost the efficiency of communications.
Those short audio recording could be added to all 3 sections (training description / Pre-activity / Post-Activity) or simply ONE audio recording
Because sometimes, the best way to communicate something is through your voice!

Create continuous ramps in the workout builder, not step-wise.
Consistent power is not always preferred. It would be great to have continuous ramps so that you can set a target power or HR for the start and end of an interval of any chosen length. E.g. warm-up starting at 60% FTP finishing at 75% FTP over 25m. Or, a 10m cool down, or an endurance session that starts at 65% and finishes at 80% 2h later.... There are a lot of ways this would be useful.

Master and secondary workouts
My idea/proposal is to be able to create a 'Master' workout, then if you copy this workout and place it in your calendar say 10 times (secondary workouts) when you make a change/update to the master workout this is automatically pushed through to all the secondary workouts. Currently I believe you would need to edit each of the 10 workouts individually.
A further development of this concept would be to have recurring workouts, with perhaps the possibility to increase volume/intensity by X% for each occurence to fit in with periodisation.38 votes -
Uploaded strength workouts to sync with programmed strength workouts using new strength programming feature
Ability to have uploaded strength workouts auto sync with the new strength programming sessions programmed for athletes in their programs as currently it keeps them separated and cannot lync/sync them together to be completed unless you check off each and every exercise.

Automatically filter/delete bad HR and power data.
It is pretty common to sometimes get obviously erroneous HR or power data (e.g. HR = 250 or power = 2000w for someone who has never seen HR >185 or power >850). When looking at past peak performances over any time horizon, this bad data means that you cannot see peak performance data or you have to manually go through and delete HR and power data from those activities respectively before you can see what the athlete's actual peak performances were. This can take a lot of time if the athlete gets bad data a few times every month, and…

Have the Coach also be able to switch to Athlete profile on both phone and computer app.
Currently, if I want to go from my coaching account to my athlete profile, I have to log out and re-log in. There should be an option to switch without having to do this step both on the app and computer.

Strength workouts will not sync to Garmin Connect
The new strength workout builder is great, but it's not syncing with Garmin calendar. It would be great to use the TP interface to create the trainings, as well to have exercise data to visualize and analyse there after.

Option to allow the duration of peak performances to be customised
It would be very useful to be able to customise the duration of peak performances. For example as someone who competes in 25 mile time trials a 50 min duration would be very useful for comparison, where as a 60 min duration is typically useless as this is just above the typical duration of an event

Possibility to custom graphs
Customized graphs are needed in general, but specifically, as an exercise physiologist, I would like to have the possibility to compare training sessions of an athlete, and different athletes that complete the same session.

A tally of ALL training hours
as an elite athlete there are a few metrics that I look for at year end.
- Total hours training
- Total tss
The total hours training should be easy for TP to program. It can even be a number right next to the pie chart.
And yes, I know I can add these up myself, but on occasion, the pie pieces are so small that the scroll over isn't accurate.

Automatic bike selection based on ANT/BLE IDs
As a cyclist with several bikes, I'd like TrainingPeaks to be able to automatically select which bike I am using, so I can better track the wear and tear on my equipment.
In .fit files, it's possible to read the ANT+/BLE sensor serial numbers, so I think it would be relatively straightforward to link specific bikes to specific sensors.

Pair Strength Training with recorded workout metrics
Love the Strength Training feature. Would be great for TP to record my heart rate directly or to allow the completed Strength workout to be paired with the recorded workout uploaded from Apple Health.

Heart rate zones based on lab-based lactic acid threshold test
Having completed a lactic acid threshold test I would appreciate the option to set the heart rate for 2mmol/L, the heart rate for 4mmol/L, max heart rate and resting heart rate.
I may be in the minority, but have found that entering either of these heart rate thresholds as well as my max and resting heart rate have not yielded reasonable results for the Zone calculation. I ended up having to play around with the threshold until I arrived at reasonable zones.
Alternatively/in addition, links to the source material of how the wealth of methods calculate threshold would be helpful…31 votes -
Do not show retired gear in picklists
In the mobile app, when filling the post training information, a long list of gears (Bikes, shoes) appears that include all the retired ones.
I do not want to completely remove old gear to keep the history, just not show them in the list of choices after a training.31 votes -
Create workouts in Dynamic Plans based on Training Zone that will individualize the zone for each athletes the plan is applied to.
I love using Dynamic plans but would love to be able to build workouts based on Training Zone (ie, Zone 1-5). We do ******* testing with our athletes to have more accurate training zones, and it's hard/impossible to prescribe them accurately for the group using the % threshold tool.
I would also be really helpful to be able to compare "planned time in zone" to "actual time in zone" once the workout is completed.
