  1. As other coaches have mentioned here, it would be great if we could prescribe strength training based on percentages of 1RM.

In addition, something very simple and essential is the addition of a field for interval time between sets, which could contain a timer for the athlete to keep track of. As already seen in other apps.

Also, as I have seen mentioned here, a field for linking sets of the same block, such as A1 + A2 in a "super set" and A3 separately, but in the same block.

In the "reps" field, it would be interesting to have…

  3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Insights
    • Predictive analysis: Use AI to identify training patterns and suggest personalized adjustments based on data like TSS, CTL, ATL, sleep, and heart rate variability (HRV).
    • Automatic recommendations: Suggest rest days, intensity increases, or volume reductions based on the athlete’s readiness and historical metrics.

  5. Training Peaks is such a great platform for coaching multiple athletes and helping coaches to make a living.

The key to coaching athletes is to help them in achieving their goals in their events.

Right now, there is no feature that shows the coach all of their clients' events in one place. It would be extremely helpful to have a calendar view for all events for all athletes to ensure coaches don't miss any events. Currently, you would have to mark all of your athletes' events on another platform's calendar. With how dynamic athletes shift or cancel events, having all…

  6. I just started using the newly built Strength option, and I have a few things which do bother me. Firstly, in the option where I can input my weights for a specific exercise, I cannot use decimal points, so there is no way for me to input for example 17.5kg, I tried it with pounds too, but there it is forbidden too. Secondly, If I start the Strength training in the application it starts the timer and when I end it it end, and at the end I get the time of my workout, this would be a good option…

  7. I think it would be great to create custom zones based on max HR, reserve HR, Max Aerobic Speed... Not only based on % of Threshold

  8. workout planning system. It would be extremely beneficial to have the ability to:

    • Copy and paste specific workout sections within the same workout plan for easy replication of similar training blocks
    • Save specific workout sections as templates for future use in new workout plans
    • Create a library of saved workout templates that can be easily accessed and inserted into new programs

This functionality would significantly streamline the workout planning process and save time when creating new training programs that share similar elements.

  9. The recently introduced web design update has significantly reduced readability and usability. In particular, the font size and typography make it difficult to clearly recognize activities and their descriptions. The previous layout was much clearer and easier to read.

Additionally, the line spacing, especially in the description preview, is too large. As a result, less content fits on the screen, and I have to scroll more frequently to get a complete overview of my training plan. The changed formatting of numbers in the calendar has also negatively impacted readability.

I strongly urge a redesign to improve readability and clarity. A…

  10. Strength workouts should be included in your weekly snapshot, it’s supposed to show your “weekly snapshot” so why would a strength workout not be part of that?
They were a few weeks ago, seems silly to void them now as it makes is difficult to see what work we have done each day without looking over everything.

  11. Dear TrainingPeaks Team,

As a coach, I see a growing need for a holistic approach to coaching, where not only training data but also lifestyle factors such as HRV, resting heart rate, and sleep play a crucial role. Polar provides valuable insights in this area, and it would be incredibly beneficial if TrainingPeaks could integrate this data directly into the platform.

Currently, TrainingPeaks already supports data from Garmin and Whoop, which is a great step towards providing a complete picture of an athlete or client. As an organization, we aim to use data carriers and wearables independently of specific brands,…

  12. It would be nice to have a 'Warm-Up Library' where you can add your own different kind of WU's: (repeated)sprints, progressive efforts, high cadence spin ups, torque efforts. To then access these in the workout builder, to drag them for a workout. Would be time-efficient, and a good way to differentiate more in WU.

  13. Please shrink the workout boxes and comment font back to what they were before the recent update. A lot of my athletes comment extensively. I catch these via the Home Update list on the right of the screen. At a glance, it seems like I am getting about half the information within the screen that I am accustomed to.

  14. Is there anything on the road map where as coaches we would be able to programme strength based movements from an athletes 1RM. My understanding and chatting to one of the sales directors is that the current limitations are reps sets and RPE. But it would be really useful to add a % of their 1RM aligned to the type of strength training.

Seeing as %'s of thresholds and zone training can already be done, is this something that will be coming for strength training?

  15. In the TP workout builder, I can either select a target FTP or FTP range. It'd be nice if I could just write a target power in mind. Right now, I have to fiddle around with the target FTP ranges until I get the power range I want, and I'd rather just input the power myself (e.g. 150-200 watts)

  16. It would be helpful if the new strength workout builder could also be ordered in the calendar view. For example now it is always set before a cycling workout and I cannot switch it with the cycling workout, so that it is set afterwards (as it was possible with the old builder).

  18. New strength builder is a good step in right direction. However, basically every gym app has section for history/analytics where a user can easily check progression and different kind of graphs. We need that too.

Also, it is a very easy task to look a few popular gym apps like Strong and see how history/analytics has been done. And what other features they have... ;)

  19. The previous Strength Workout builder allowed setting a planned time, enabling proper scheduling in the calendar. The new builder lacks this functionality, making planning and tracking strength workouts difficult.

  20. I build my strength workouts using the new strength builder, but when my Garmin records the activity and comes through as an old strength activity, I cannot pair the two. Am I doing this wrong, or is this functionality not available yet?
