  2. When athletes use a smartwatch, set a feature that allows trainingpeaks to update the HR, speed, pace and power zones of athletes. Possibly allow coaches to activate, deactivate this function for all athletes or selected athletes. Allowing to for example update once a month or every 3 months.

  3. TrainingPeaks tracks everything that builds fitness, but nothing that breaks it. I'd like to see injury tracking added as a first-class data type, not a metric comment buried in the calendar.

    Four parts:

    1. A dedicated injury entry type. Log an injury via a visual body map plus a structured body-part list (so it's selectable data, not free text). Each entry holds detailed descriptors, rehab methods, and attachments from a physio or medical professional, all in one place on the calendar.

    2. A daily pain score out of 10. The entry repeats daily, so the athlete logs where the injury is at…

  4. For a paid service it should auto compress my photos for me. Seems strange I can’t attach photos for my coach directly from my phone

  6. It would be very useful to have an estimated duration for strength training workouts and an estimated distance for running workouts (walking/running), so that athletes and coaches can better plan and understand sessions more easily.

  7. When you make an event for a client, there is a drop down menu where you add the bike- Can you add gravel bike as an option? It is 2026!

  8. The "new" strength builder function is awesome and such a big help to get all of my athletes in the gym!

    So, from my athletes, about 90% of them. They all do need help with swimming, like drills and techniques. And with being a remote coach. There is a lot of sending them to Youtube and texting videos. I just thought about creating a swim function similar to the new strength builder. Where athletes could watch videos and explanations like in the strength function.

    I see a need from the athlete side for more structure during their swim session.

  9. Polar HR sensor doesnt work with TP Virtual. It connects, but always shows 0 HR. The problem started a couple weeks ago. Restarting the TP Virtual/sensor itself/the whole computer/unpairing and pairing again doesn't solve the issue.

  10. I would love to see TrainingPeaks introduce a more complete athlete onboarding system directly inside the platform.

    Currently, many coaches have to rely on external tools like Google Forms, Notion, Typeform, PDFs, or onboarding calls to collect basic athlete information before starting a program.

    It could be extremely useful to have a built-in “Athlete Intake/Profile” section where athletes complete a structured questionnaire during onboarding.

    This could include:

    Anthropometric data
    Sports background and experience level
    Available equipment
    Work/lifestyle information
    Nutrition and recovery habits
    Injury history or limitations
    Goals and target races
    Psychological/sport mindset questions

  12. The sync with Myfitnesspal should include whether I've marked the day as "complete" or not, in Training Peaks. Its not possible for my coach (or myself) to determine if I've fully logged a day in my fitness pal when I look at my training calendar.

  13. Currently in the Structured Workout Builder, Planned Work (kJ) is only calculated when the sport type is set to "Bike". Switching the exact same workout to "Mtn Bike" causes the kJ field to go blank — even when FTP is configured for Mtn Bike Power and the workout is built in % FTP with Target intensity. Planned TSS and IF still calculate correctly in both cases; only kJ is affected.

    This was confirmed with TP Support (Anthony H.) and is not currently documented as a known limitation.

  17. Once you've loaded a gpx file there is then no way to visualise that route, to check it is correct or to be able to see it to use when creating a TP virtual ride.

  18. when doing a workout on Garmin that is a structured TP sessions, it over rides the athletes notifications for alarms every 20 min to eat / drink / fuel.

    There is no way of popping reminders in on the workout (only when a set starts or ends)

    I would suggest a icon that allows to fuel notification at specific times - IE very 20 min, every 30 min

  20. Exercise Substitutions and Unit Conversion in Strength Builder

    I would like to suggest two improvements to the Strength Builder that would significantly improve usability for coaches and athletes.

    1. Ability to Program Exercise Substitutions

    Coaches should be able to assign up to two substitute exercises for each programmed strength exercise. In practice, athletes often encounter situations where they cannot perform the exact exercise prescribed (equipment limitations, minor injuries, gym restrictions, etc.). Currently, this creates confusion because athletes do not know what alternative movement the coach prefers.
