A workout category is needed
Looking from a higher level an endurance athlete's every workout can be placed in one of the following five buckets:
- Low intensity (LIT)
- Medium intensity (MIT)
- High intensity (HIT)
- Strength session
- Speed session
- We need a way to apply right tag for each workout and
- see the overview in calendar view (preferably in colors)
This would help athletes to see what kind of sessions during the week are described and coaches to see if the week was executed right. This information is usually written in workout title. Also the coaches can open a single workout but getting a bigger picture is missing. Unfortunately seeing TSS is not enough as it does not tell anything about the intensity and IF does not show right if TSS is manually adjusted.
In addition, giving workouts these categories opens a possibility to get better metrics e.g. what is my proportion of LIT vs HIT, how my training composition differs among the mesocycles etc Everyone from elites to semi-pros understands the benefits of this.
I'm actually puzzled how a fantastic platform like TP is missing this, as it is a key ingredient in every endurance athlete's tool box.
